The first round of Saturday Arvo Sprints (SAS) will be held on the 30th of this month. If anyone is interested in participating in this years series, entry fee is $120 prepaid and $149 on the day. For those that don't hold a AASA license they are available at the track for $55.

All details and forms are available from
    http://www.queenslandraceway.com.au/index.htm

This will be my first run of the sprints in MK2. I am looking forward to how different this car is to Mk1 as the new car is a 2+2 and is a TT with an NA diff. I know it may be difficult to come for those that are going to the Tech day up north. But if anyone wants to come out and watch entry is free and it is always a good afternoon out.

I hope to see some familar faces and maybe some new racers out there.
    :zlove:

It won't be $170 each time. Get your 12 month track licence anyway. Plenty of opportunities for drift and sprints! :D

I wish i lived in brisbane for this sort of stuff. Would justify the money i spent on my car a whole lot more.

went up there for a look end of last year and the track looks interesting, just for future reference if i do about 63sec on the sprint track at QR what kinda times would be ok for lakeside? just so i have a reference point cheers

Im with Aza on this one. I will also be trying out Lakeside this year. QR is fast but it is not as technical as Lakeside. Whenever you are keen to go AZA I am.

63 seconds on the Sprint circuit at QR would equate to a few seconds more at Lakeside but sensible newbies there usually start around the 75 second mark and steadily work down from that. QR is a walk in the park compared, Lakeside is a ball but can bite, hard.

My best at Lakeside is a 62.75 with avatar Z, with the other Z at QR I was in the 60's. Looking forward to a few runs at QR later this year.
