QLD QR Friday night drift practice 25/7/8

I'm gonna head out to the drift practice at QLD Raceway on Friday the 25th. Gonna give this drifting thing a go and see what its all about. If its anything like NFS Carbon I'm gonna own the track. My mate will also be bringing out his R33 to have a go.

If anyone else wants to come and participate its $80 to go on track $50 to use the skidpan (im assuming its the carpark) and I think its $10 to spectate.

 

They box off a small section right behind the pits on the left side of the tower using road barriers and hose it down with 2 tyres in the middle to skid around. Been and done. They drift corners 3 and 4 if I remember rightly. I'm keen If I don't blow the budget for this years events. Might need to get me some spares to tear up too.

 

What time does this start?

Gates open at 5pm and action starts at 6pm.

 

I can hear them from work... They're usually going at it from about 4.30

Hey my car was dead for longer that that and seeing it every day was painful. I know how you feel. I got alot of thrashing built up that only the zed can release

 

Hi everybody.

I'm need a favor from someone. I had organised to have a mate with a van to be at the drifts. We were going to put our good rims (not drift rims) in there for safe keeping. Unfortunately he now has to go down to newcastle that night.

Does anyone own a van or ute that can come along so we can hide our gear? There will be 4 rims and a trolley jack. I will happily pay for your admission.

 

True but I can only drive one car at a time.

Anyone fancy driving my van from Gold Coast to Willowbank......Didnt think so. LOL

 

Is anyone definitely coming? If so would someone mind if I keep my Jack and tool box in the back of their zed? I'll chain up the rims for now.

Just fitted some new rubber to the skid rims. I'm getting excited, cant wait til friday.

Not putting rims in a zed, they definitely wont fit.

Ill just chain them up to a pole.
