well the GT40 was a no show, kind of disappointing, but that basically means he has handed me the championship for the year, barring a disaster in the final round.

was a hot day so times were slow. best time was a 58.7 which was good enough to be 3rd fastest car overall on the day and first in class.

had a BIG moment on the last session, was right up the back of the super quick Torana race car, exiting turn 1 got the outside rear wheel off the edge of the ripple strip and SNAPPO she went around, sideways across the track and onto the grass at 150 kmh, lucky she didnt flip, spun around a few times then came to a rest. wouldnt start for a minute but she fired up again and on my way, but never recovered as the tyres collected crap on them which slowed the car down.

should be some pics around somewhere :)

    thanks guys :D

yes the front slicks felt much better, turns 1 and 2 were quicker and I could exit both the s bend and turn 6 without the ass end wanting to kick out. given a cold day I reckon PB would have been on the cards.

PS I think I paid for making that crack about calling JP "the lawnmower man".

huge thanks to the original AMEC guys for building my bulletproof motor.

yes the wing is adjustable but I just leave it on the lowest setting. I do believe it makes a big difference in turns 1 and 2, doing 140-145 kmh at Apex, the car was travelling quicker than the 55 second Torana right up his backside through those turns. only reason my car isnt doing 55s is I have no torque coming out of the first S bend.

I am glad to help you getting out on the track any way we can Cameron, as long as you dont mind big fat AMEC stickers on the side of your car :D

A fairly exciting day, lots of offs, must have been the heat. Some close racing too, three wide down the straight  Plus Pete put a very nice passing move on the overpowered yellow Munro through turn one, thats a 4th gear turn
