Saturday started off in fine form! Brisbane weather, beautiful wife, zed serviced and pizza at a tech day to look forward too!!!!! Well the truth is it pissed down wife woke me up and she wasn't happy. No zed sold it about a month ago A red vy commondore is squatting where the beautiful black zed sat. At least I had a tech day and pizza to look forward too.
As I crawled out of Victoria Point and through swollen creeks I was glad I was in the Terrano and not the Zed. It was a quick run to Mansfield and Mark's house .I pulled up out front .The first words I hear was "Now do you want your car to be a 95 or a 97 model?" as 2 likely lads where busy pop riveting the chassis number to a car.

    Nothing changes.......

Well at least I made it in time for the pizza run. So everybody drew lots to see who got to sit in the front seat of the Terrano. "Come on what's wrong with the Nissan?" As Mark was the host and had the brightest lily-white legs he got nominated.
K-zed was down in the kitchenette soldering up a couple of TWD boards. Mark had his zed in a couple of pieces over the floor, wall roof hell it was everywhere. Then there was the BLING factor MikeZ and the new radiator cowl with polished plenum.
Zedsled pulled up after a nice run up from the northern rivers. Perfect timing for hot pizza.

Back to the serious business. Mark disappear in the hell only know as " how the hell I solder to wires up from the computer to run the TWD while some idiot pokes a camera in my face."

K-zed and myself discussed the finer points of under arm man musk while trying to solder the TWD's {NOTE use of pizza and xxxx while making these units is a must}.

The last half an hour I spent there was reducing mark to tears as we stripped his console and instruments out to fix the air con problem and fitting the TWD into the instrument cluster.

    Grenfel Something is missing...

What have you guys done to me?!?

Before, I was interested in Zeds, thought they were "cool" and was seriously considering buying one.

Ever since the Qld tech day on Saturday when I've gotten to actually ride in one (thanks MikeZ) and even drive one (thanks tons and tons for trusting me with your baby Luig ) I haven't been able to sleep properly or concentrate properly at work and I keep getting these rushes of adrenalin (probably left over from the "highly accelerative" bit of driving on that lonely road with Luig) that are accompanied by flashes of Veilside bodykits, 18 inch wheels, oversized exhausts and polished plenums (nice job on MikeZ's plenum Chewy). I'm also having feverish dreams of actually doing mechanical work of my own on Zeds (considering I've never even done an oil change before - maybe I need to take a TAFE course or something). These symptoms combined with uncontrollable urges to thank the host of the techday (zed4life) for his time and patience (I was first to arrive by a chunk and the last to leave, and I badgered him with questions all day), lead me to believe that I have definitely contracted the dangerous and highly contagious Zed virus.
There are only two ways ahead for me - either cut and run from this forum and never look at a Zed again (and live a life full of withdrawal and Lancers :() or except the fact that I have the Zed virus and won't get over it and inject large sums of cash into a symptom suppressing drug going by the codenames of either CZ32 or GCZ32 :zlove:. Unfortunately this drug should be accompanied by other accessories such us LUG (Lock Up Garage), FCI (Full Comprehensive Insurance), OL (Open License), and JS (Job Security) :(. As I currently have none of these accessories I believe I will have to accept the continuation of my symptoms until some or most of these become available.
Oh well, nothing for it but to count down the days until the CruiZe on Sunday and keep an eye out for a drug that is tailored exactly for my needs.

    Cheers,
    Shaun :zlove:

Or take another dose on Sunday's cruiZe :p

    Beware of Bling

Great to touch base with those that I hadn't seen in a while and to meet some new faces. Glad to hear that you're hooked Shaun. They're brilliant cars but what makes them even more special is the club associated with them.

Looking forward to the drive on Sunday. I've blown the cobwebs out of my car now. She's now running the best since I've owned her!!
