[QLD] Grand Opening/Xmas Party 15th DEC

Well the date is set the NAME is locked in all we have to do now is break it in and reveal the name.

Date: 15th Dec
Where: 1/16 Mooney Cl, Goodna
Time: 6pm onwards.

Ill be providing BBQ food eg. steak and salads
What to bring is something to drink and maybe a chair I will have seating for about 12 people and ample table space so if you can bring a fold-up chair there should be enough seating.

There is only a small amount of parking on my driveway and out the front but a back street behind my place that should be fine for excess cars. Any questions just pm me or reply here.

Rough numbers would be great also guys just so i make sure i have enough steak and salad and buns and so one for everyone.

im not far from the station im sure someone can pick you up on the way past just catch the ipswich train and get off at goodna or redbank

 

Im a 90% def. i can never plan that far ahead. i maybe be a me +1 too, actually ill put myself down as a yes anyway so atleast ya covered. i got an idea to make numbers easier, can we get a mod to put up a poll (if you agree Aza). then you can look at one figure instead of sifting through the thread.

this is a happy gathering

weather it be 5 or 50 people doesnt really bother me im just offering to share what i will get to enjoy 7 days a week with people i enjoy catchin up with on cruises and other events

if i have some fairly solid numbers a week before ill be happy

there is a chance ill bring out the poker set also if anyone is interested in a game of texas hold'em

Gavan and I already have a prior commitment that night Aza, but if you could pm me your address please, we will certainly try to put in an appearance-don't count us in for catering numbers-we will eat at the other party first ....if you were to pull your finger out though and get it done by the 8th, we are a definate

Can see all three sides here.

• My last tech day 50 people 90% definite 15 turned up. This year, tech day might just be pizza on the day, as I don't mind spending $400 to host the day, but I hate seeing food thrown away that has taken 3 days to organise.
• Barry's last chardy shack event, 30 people were 90% definite, 13 turned up. Sure Barry feels the same as my point above
• We all understand that plans change at the last minute through no fault of our own, but people seems to forget to do the right thing and let hosts know (she'll be right attitude)
• AZAs just a nice guy and doesn't want to to be confrontational

Maybe this post is not needed in this thread, but I do feel Barry has a valid point, and has every right to raise it without being made to feel guilty about it.

so here's my point

If your calendar is free on the day and you want to come, say you're coming
If you either get a better offer, or become unavailable and you have said you are coming, please post up that you can;t make it, preferably with plenty of notice.
