Just a Thanks as in a hurry!

A big thanks to to all those who came and gave us support, to the sponsors that got us here and an especially big thanks to AZA for the parts at the last minute and an even bigger thanks to BONEZX:D who stuck in there with us ALL day saturday after another dose of bad luck saw us changing the gearbox. It work beautifully mate and you are a legend mate.

There is always next year and hopefully we dont blow engines and gearboxes days before hand. But it was an awesome weekend and I am glad I got to see some of the Queensland Zedders again and that Miraclr Z motors has a Branch in QLD TOO:thumbup:

Once again, a bloody great weekend out :D

I didnt see much of the Zedders who went, i think i was on the opposite side to mostly everyone, but it was an excellent spot to watch from :D

It was great to see Dan get alot more track time on sunday, and even though he was 200hp down (as i recently learned), he was definitly having a good chop :D

Sadly, i didnt manage to get any pics or videos cos i forgot to bring any form of camera, so my contribtion is limited to the words above...

All in all though, an excellent weekend and i cant wait for next year, so i can go out and watch and drink and get sunburnt again :D

    Good day out!

Almost a continuation of ZedFest with so many familiar faces around.

Caz also worked her butt off as Matty's assistant. Mary blended well with all the eye-candy around the pits :D whilst the rest of us tried not to get in everyones way.

BoneZ and Aza deserve special mention for getting DriftZ back on the track. Well done guys.

Good to hear that the sureflow team got back on track for sunday. I was only there on saturday and was shocked to hear the dramas that went on before the day and that happened on the day. (rear cradle, engine, gearbox).:(

I cant wait to hear the full rundown on what happened.

Caz, Matt and Dan, It was nice to finally meet you all and put faces to names:) .

There was till plenty of excitement on track with the PSI Silvia getting the carp knocked out of it by the Cefiro and also catching fire in the pits. Plus a few more bumps and scratches. I will post some pics up later.

aus300ZX.com AGAIN shows just what an amazing group of people you are! :zlove: :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:
During practice late Friday afternoon the DriftZ snaps a lower rear control arm :( :( ... ,
What would be the chances of finding a Z32 rear subframe, at night, in decent condition, close to Ipswich and fast! Keeping in mind I didn't even have internet access....???
Laughable at best most people thought.
    BUT
One phone call to K-Zed and within hours we had 2 subframes on offer to us, thankyou AZA and BoneZ , both within 10 minutes drive and Pete from AMEC on the phone offering to help in any way he could. Incredible !!

This forums community repeatedly blows me away with its generosity, I was so proud to brag to everyone over the weekend about aus300zx.com and how you guys were the only reason we were racing. :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:

DriftZ now proudly displays forum stickers below my window signage. :)

Luckily Greg was given a Fairlane Ghia (which are designed to carry Z32 rear ends I'm sure! )instead of the hire car he had booked so off we went to AZA's to load this entire rear subframe into the "Grandparents" limo.. LOL fitted like a glove, got to love hire cars :D :D

    Pic AZA?

Saturday morning BoneZ comes out to the track early thinking he would sit back and watch the DriftZ do her thing.... how wrong he was!.... lol ;) He had his hands dirty within minutes as the rear end of the Zed was sorted and worked his bum off all day and into the night like he had been part of the pit crew from day one. What would we have done without you boy! :)

Just before the first qualifier the gearbox died, no 3rd gear..  . Dan limped it through the first qualifier to ensure he could still run if another miracle happened and we found a spare T56 6 speed lying around the pits and a hoist to fit it. Chances?? somewhere between Buckley's and none :(
Then Kudah (fellow DA driver) offers us his spare box(amazingly kind as it left him without a back up should his box die) and Robbie Bolger gave us his transporter to work in so we had a hoist and lights and free Castrol TransmaxZ for the box..
Wokburner, Bonez and Dan get stuck in to swapping the boxes.. BoneZ is in the singlet and Wokburner the black shirt.

What can I say but hats off to you BoneZ, you absolutely rock!!

All done she gets to sleep in the famous 'West Coast Customs' trailer... very cool lol.... Its in the pic with the Mustang and also the Big Rig pic in the link below.http://www.westcoastcustoms.com/showroom/index.html

Wokburners contribution to this team has been enormous, another forum member who gives his time generously, traveling interstate and working so hard for Dan, Greg and I, his mechanical knowledge and ability to think out side the square are invaluable at the track. We LOVE you Matt :) and need you more than Border Protection/Patrol next month   Whats a few extra Indonesian fishing boats going to hurt in the scheme of things huh??

To all the Zedders that came out to watch and say hi THANKYOU! :zlove: :zlove: :zlove: It is sooo nice to catch up with those I already know and get to put faces to those I only know by name.

Not sure what Richard is thinking about his mate??? :p :p

One of the highlights of the weekend for me was finally driving the DriftZ :D :D , didnt stall her once! I cant wait to get back behind the wheel of that thing :D :D

    Sorry it took so long...

But a huge thank you to all those that helped out and kept us on the track, It was a very frustrating weekend and without everyones help we would have been back on the trailer before the weekend even began.

We have put up a press report on the DA website, so swing across and have a look, hope that explains everything :)

We have the new race engine running already, and will be hitting the track for testing this Thursday and Friday, so hopefully we can learn more about this beast.

Again, thanks you lot, your support is fantastic, and I'll keep plugging away until we can at least repay you lot with a podium result.

    Stay Sidewayz Kidz,

    Dan.
