Hi All,

Welcome back to 2011 with Qldcruising.net! The 17th of January celebrates 4 years online with Qldcruising - a huge milestone. Obviously we need to kick the year off again with a bang, so lets top last years effort of over 35 cars and 65+ people this time! As per usual we encourage all of you to invite some people who haven't been out with us before. We're open to all types of cars and people so bring your friends, and their friends if they wish. Any money raised will be donated to the flood appeal.

Our usual mix of events for the year are going to be in the works shortly, including our annual dyno day amongst a skid pan day, track day and also a possible burn out competition to raise money for children in need.

This cruise is very long, so we need people to have their full attention focused on driving safely. Anybody caught doing burnouts, drifting, tailgating, driving in a manner to unsettle/disturb and/or cause harm to others, including the general public will be reported to police. Qldcruising has a large number of members who have been involved in the site for a long time. Poor behavior is not tolerated and will be reported. When we are on a cruise, we are representing not only Qldcruising, but also the entire modified car scene - let's not be labeled as "hoons" and have a safe day out enjoying our cars, company amongst othess with a common interest and the amazing roads we will travel on the day!

So, where are we going?

We will be doing a circuit starting from Albany Creek and heading through Mt Mee Road, Kilcoy via the dams to Mt Glorious finally finishing in Ferny Grove. Total estimated distance for the day is 200km and it will be around 3.5 hours worth of driving. We will kick off in the early afternoon and drive into the night - We will go to dinner for those who would like to come. Restaurant will be determined at the finish point.

- Start: Car Park, Wruck Crescent, Albany Creek. If you go to this road, you will find us!!!
- Time: 2pm for 2:40pm leave
- First Stop: Woodford Town Centre - Street Parking (angle)

- Stop Woodford - 15 minutes... Stretch legs, have a rest etc.
- Second Stop: Somerset Dam Picnic/BBQ Area.

- Stop Somerset Dam - 30-40 minutes. Take photo's, drink soft drink (GOLD COIN donation to the site per drink)
- Third Stop: Mt Glorious Restaurant

- Stop Mt Glorious Restaurant - 15 minutes... Stretch legs, have a rest etc.
- Finish: Ferny Grove Train Station

- Finish: Ferny Grove - Decide on dinner location for those wishing to join

Please let us know if you have others coming (unless on facebook because we will see their attending) in this thread.

As per usual, UHF Channel 16 will be in use. I will have 4 radios for hire on the day from the site. These are Qldcruising.net owned units. If you have a UHF please feel free to ask one of the team to check that it's working for you at the first meet point.
