well i finally popped my cherry on the drag strip tonite with a best of 14.73 not too shabby for the ole NA. pex and fleet did person best ill let them post their times. I now have an hour of video footage to edit tomorow should be some good action in there thanks the camera gurl sorry i forgot your name ( runs for cover) good to catch up with everyone again. see yas at the next event......
It was good to see everyone again, although most of them had no idea who i was until they started speaking to me... (Brenton n Mike) LOL! Congrats on the times everyone ran tonight, you all did really well! :zlove: I was also good to meet the few people that I hadnt met before (Caz n Nathan), more friendly z-people! Shame bout ur car Nathan, hope you get it all sorted out n its not too badly broken! Always a good night out at the track... tyres burning up, the smell of fuel n watching the cars fly down the track... mmm heaven!
you have drags in your state during winter? even when ours is open it's once/week, a billion miles away, $60-70 in fuel and entry cost etc You'd think they'd sort something out like the old blue light drags on the Gold Coast so there's really no excuse for street racing.
All well My 13.5 sec pass ended up costing me $180 in towing and a new water pump. I was actually quite happy because my car was not holding boost all night and taking ages to spool for one reason or another. Off to get new water pump, Ill be doin some dyno tuning with a new AFC Neo and I may be out once more before I sell her with 75-125 NOS to help spooling and hopefully a high 12sec pass. P.S. Anyone else see that 150m burn-out?????? Yeah, but got a bit hairy towards the end - also my virgin experience at the drags, very good fun. Watch out Greg, Ill be beating you in no time! Nate
Never good to see a Zed goin home on a trailer I did a 14.4 on first ever run - I was expecting to see a 15 straight up so I was happy with that result... More to be got for sure - and I'm goin to be out there far more often now I had an awesome night!
time great fun night guys, PB for me was 12.54 beating my previous best of 12.8. Nathan good to hear no great damage done, you ran good times there, also AZA 14.7 is a top time for an NA. lovely to see you again Caz and thanks to all the Amec boys and other zedders who came out for launching tips and support.

When Mr Plod first handed her a ticket (back in the day) She thanked him by advising that he'd popped her cherry , at which point Mr Plod ran back to his car in fear of being charged for sexual assault . Hehe.. Sounds like you lot had a good night then! Just saddened that I didn't have a Z to run down the track. I'm expecting a mid 12 second run when i get her back. Was good to catch up with everyone, even those I did not recognise. Was good to see Caz again. Ill have to let you know when im coming down for a visit. Didn't take the zed down the strip. Needed a night off. Just enjoyed watching Aza kill my mates turbo 180sx.
