hi guys, i'm having problem with my car '90 TT. i start the car with a low grinding kick then its start. drove the car to work then i'm trying to start again it wont kick in or no click its dead. The radio, interior, dash & head lights are working but the engine light is not on. i have no idea what happen but we push start & it works but its back firing on the way home and now its dead still wont start. There is power & don't know if it is starter motor. its not grinding & no click. i need everyone's advise or input to this need my car for work.thank guys:br:
Sounds like a normal old flat battery. Doesn't take much power to get the lights and radio to work compared with turning over the motor.
driving it to work wont charge the battery if it is dead flat, get battery charged and tested sounds like you need a new one, check the alternator output while you are in there
Take it to a battery place to get it properly checked or buy a brand new one. Z's are picky about battery voltage. :zlove:
