Today the new led's i got for my cluster started playing up. About 2 minutes after ive had the lights on, fuse blew, replaced it, another 2 minutes blew again, replaced it again, blew again, then replaced it with a 15amp one, turned lights on, smelled sumthing is burning so i took it out, one of the led's blew aswell. I dont know what to do...the ebay site i bough it from says they work at 12v. I dont know what to do...has anyone had any problems with cluster led's, or what the problem is ? If you are continually blowing the fuse... it's a safe bet the globes are the wrong sort... drawing to much current.
One of them is blown now...is there a possibility it was defective and once i replace it it will be ok ?
I never though i would have any problems, they are 12v bulbs so they should work fine...but sumhow they failed. Stupid me i didnt try diming the lights, as i have them cracked up to the max...maybe that has something to do with it. Or maybe that one bulb that blew shortcircuited something causing the fuse to blow. Sorry for the stupid recomandation, i only tried helping out, i found out about those bulbs from another zedder and he had no problems with them so i though i would pass it on

Whew...though i was gonna get another 10 zedders blaming me for buying them, lol. Just dont reassemble your whole dash, leave your lights on for 5-10 mins see if anything happens
a sale we should have a garage sale,your springs and our leftover globes anywhere else that takes the wedge globes the same as the dash,ill use the extra 2 there
Great...no more 10amp fuses, ive blown all the ones i had. Haha, yeah il sell the springs for 300 if the buyer offers to remove them himself lol. wasted enough money, couldve had 40% of the money i needed for coilovers

Yes I do have the same ones, and have been using them for at least 12 months. Never heard of anyone else having problems with these, and I am using the same type in various other locations in the Zed(Number Plate lights, side marker lights, side Blinker lights). I think you may have a different electrical problem (maybe a short from a pinched wire when being re-installed)??
Well i think i was the unlucky one to get a bad led. Put another 10amp fuse in after that one led blew and now its all good. I just have to replace the not working one. Since il have everything apart again...what type of led's do i need for the buttons, anyone know ?
well there goes our garage sale lol,good stuff,get onto the seller and get him to send u a replacement,tell him it doesnt work
