    Hi all,

Now I say preliminary as my tune isn't finished!

All that has been done in nistune is set k values and pull out fuel till AFRs are about 11.3 during a road tune.

I still have to play with timing and my profec B II to get better response and need to adjust my TP load scales as they are maxing out at about 5500-6000rpm and throwing in a heap of fuel.

    Running 21 psi.

Agreed! I was only expecting 270-280ish as the tune really does need some more work! We have only spent about 20-30 minutes in total road tune time pulling some fuel out as she was really rich initially.

I wanted to get an idea of where I was at and for mates rates dyno time why not! I stuck the power scaling on the dyno sheet at max 260kw as I didn't want to seem to talk it up too much... when she went right off the graph as soon as boost came on and I saw 311kw when we rescaled the graph I looked like this :D!

Not a bad result, especially considering 11.3AFR is still fairly rich too.

Its about 11.3 from about 4000rpm till about 5500-6000rpm then it drops a heap of fuel in due to the tp scaling being off and goes into the 10s. He was only revving her to about 6500 as he didn't see the point in going further if it wasn't going to make more power... the engine happily revs to 8000rpm so will be interesting.

Both the owner of the dyno and my brother reckon I'll hit 350kw easily once its all sorted. I don't want to talk it up though, time will tell and it should only be a couple of weeks. Will keep you posted.

Once the tune is sorted I'll be heading down to the drags and wiping the smile off some of the v8 owner's faces. I want to run an 11, we'll see how I go!

Hahaha I still can't decide if I love it or hate it.. I used to love it but not so much any more but every time I think of changing it to a 2k someone tells me how much they like it!

I got a couple years till I give her a full respray so will decide between now and then

Wow! Well done Adam! You must have a grin from ear to ear with that!
And that combination of supported mods you have = perfect for maxing out those turbos mate. It goes to show what you can achieve with the right combo hey! And best thing, you've still got more left in it yet! :)

Once again, congrats on joining the 300kw club mate! :zlove:

Thanks mate! Very happy!! Keen to get her to reach her full potential. :zlove:

Will be good to see how your beast goes with the new engine to compare with as I think our only different parts are basically dumps, forged internals and windage screen.

    :br:

Because the dyno run was just a quick cash job at a mate's shop we didn't bother hooking the gear up. We didn't even bother with his wideband as I have one in my car. We just strapped her down and floored it.

I am keen for a rpm graph also but from his explanation of how the clamp works (it hooks onto the coil to read rpms) it sounds like a pain to hook up to a 300zx so I don't know if I will bother.. When I go back though I will definitely hook up boost and o2 so we can watch them and tweak as required.

    Cheers,

    Adam
