I'd just like to know who has taken their car to the Precise Suspension & Automotive workshop in Wangara.

The guy always gets 300zxes in there and they claim to be pros. From current experience..they take too many jobs on and as a result the jobs take LOOOOOONGER than first quoted. If you've taken your Z there, what was the service like?

    Also,
Is there an Ivan here that owns a few Zds? He has taken his Zds there and I need to get in contact with him regarding something.

Dave seems to know his stuff regarding zeds. I don't think any of the

other mechanics are even close to 300zx experts though. I have had a bit of work done at precise and have had both good and bad experiences. I dont use them anymore i either do the job myself or get ray ferrari from full throttle to help

Dave knows 300s inside and out, great knowledge

they have a few new guys there though as one of the chaps left to start his own business. Dont know how much they know as I havent spoken to them. Service has always been top notch in my book. Any reason why they said it took longer for your service? They did just move premises last month, was it over that period?

i think they were too busy

Reason for postponing? Well when I first talked to him he said that if I bring it in tomorrow (being friday) he would start on it on monday...so i took it. I went there two weeks laters and they didnt even touch it. i went again a week later and same deal. i went again last week and he said they'll start on it that afternoon (coz they apparently finished with other jobs). i'm gonna go at the end of the week and see if they done anything to it.
I think the whole idea behind this tactic is to GET the job and then do it when u can.

And nope, it wasnt while they moved..it was after.
Gonna check it out in a few days.

same as alot of workshops, quality of service is directly proportional to the amount of $$$ you spend there

i have only ever had injectors cleaned there.. service was fine, took him a couple of days though. nothing to write home about.. i know alot of people that dont have a very high opinion of the place though. how fat is your chequebook?

i do all my work myself, i dont have a high opinion of workshops in general

    There's an Evan

    Cheers,

    Forget the actual address

Its something like inspiration rd or something. Just a bit further out the back of wangara. New set of buildings, has a show room out the front for the boats and a bit more room out the back.

    yep :)

i understand you have had a less than satisfactory experience with him franz but i dont think there is a workshop anywhere that has 100% of their customer base happy

Granted. But I also don't know anyone with a "reputation" that rivals Rays!

    precise...

I just had my tune agent dump pipes installed by Precise. I only chose to have it done by them as they custom-made the rest of my exhaust when I first imported the car, so I thought who better than them to match it up to the new dumps. How wrong I was...

I'm not going to go into details but basically, I was overcharged (almost triple the price I was expecting to pay) and it took 4 days, after I confirmed with them twice that it would be done in 1 day. This really annoyed me as working full-time you don't get a lot of opportunities to do things like this. So it took 4 days... then why was I charged with 7 hours of labour? What happened during the other 25 business hours my car was there? So yes you are correct when you say they overbook themselves.

This is the 3rd time I have been to Precise, and the 3rd time I have been let down. I will never go there again. A blatant rip-off and pathetic customer service.

    /end rant

    Ouch Dave....knew this was coming....

I second that, my experience at presice hasn't been much better, im not going to comment on here what they done but it wasn't good and have wasted my time in the past, never again....
