my power steering isnt 100% working. Recently changed the p.s belt, didnt help ( even tho the old belt was completely worn) I dont think it has to do with the power steering fluid. I heard that when the fluid is low, a sound is headrd when the steering wheel is at full lock? I havent heard any of this... Occasionally... but not very often, the power steering will come back on, but only for around 10 seconds.. usually when i first start up my car... Please share ideas on what it could be :br:[TIS]
solenoid on the steering rack is playing up. could be a simple connector problem, or the solenoid needs replacing. get under the car, this is on the driver's side.
When i say its not 100%, it works like 80%... so the car is okay to drive, its just uncomfortable, and i want to fix it.
...which means your solenoid is ok 80% of the time, 20% of the time it's not working. Mine does the same thing, it stops working sometimes, decides to kick in and lighten the steering mid corner which is dangerous. I just unplugged it so it's heavy all the time. If you cbf replacing it, this is the best solution.
