    Hi guys,

I'm thinking a post-Aus day bbq as I'll be away for the actual day. That and I finally have my car running (if you can call it that) so I'd like to meet some of the other ACT members that I see driving around at times.

    Who's up for a cruise/BBQ on Sat 30th Jan?

We could do the usual thing and head to one of the lakes or be a bit more adventurous if you'd like - just flick some idea's through.

    Cheers guys

    Sean

A couple of ideas that I haven't research yet:
    • Royal Dalton Cruise - Drive to Dalton and have lunch at Royal Hotel.
    • Winery & Gundaroo Cruise - Drive to Murrumbateman visit a couple of wineries then drive to Gundaroo and have lunch at one of the fine eating estabishments.

There's another place, called "Helm Wines" - haven't been there myself but have heard nothing but good things about it.

I'm not fussed as long as we're not too far from civilization. I've just gotten the car running (in a way) and haven't done any longish (>1 hour) trips in it yet, but it should be fine :)

I'm happy to organise if we come to a consensus about what we'd like to do

    Cheers,

    Sean

    Oohh! you poor

Buggers, you might get dust on your cars.:p :rofl::rofl:
Sorry Ian, I forgot that you lot only drive on the BLACK stuff and heaven forbid should you get it WET or DIRTY.:D:D:D
Or have you forgotten that most of the Wineries have DIRT roads leading into them.:rofl::rofl:
    Cheers

I'm up for it, don't mind where we go.

Went to the Poacher's Pantry last Sunday btw. Mains about $25, and yep, about 1km of dirt road with maybe a bit of crabbing across a couple of ruts.

    What about Tarrago pub?

Would be good to catch up with everyone after Xmas.

    Cheers,

    Peter

My sister use to work there, she crabbed the car off the road and into a ditch, hitting a tree in the bottom. car was a total write off.

    still thinking of worthwhile suggestions....

Nice wines but over 5km of dirt roads. Last time I drove there, a 300zx wouldn't have been able to get through some parts.

Can I assume, since there have been no details posted, that the cruise/BBQ won't be happening tomorrow?

    other ideas to throw around.

    Batemans bay
    Jindabyne
    Wollongong/shell harbour

Anyone thought of a tresure hunt style day out? Like we all have clues, and gotta find/take photos of certain things. they are always fun, but loads of orgnisation is required, normally turns out to be a big day.
