While driving my 4WD TT RUF Porche CTT @ 6500 in 3rd around a big sweeping corner i was noticing the guard rail getting closer & closer. No matter how hard i tried the big heavy front wheel biased 4WD Porche just would not pull round the corner....on the picks, BANG! too late, ive hit the guard rail at about 200. Didnt seem to bother the big coupe though as i simply down changed to 2nd & sped off again. Up comes the next corner, only this time alittle slower, but still no go. I just cant get this thing to carry any speed around a corner. Yuk i just dont like it i think im gunna have to sell it & get back into my Zed. I love the way my Zed handles, full throttle down the straight, see the corner off the throttle, tap the brake to settle the car, pick the apex & mash the loud peddle down again & off we go. Just purely sexual. I love my Zed im never gunna sell it=) Oh yeh did i mention GT3 is a great game
Lol @ Jaymz i have that ct2 pumping full power biased drive to minimum front and it still hugs the wall, practice and you'll get the hang of it though. I dont really race any more i just play 2 player all the time and my favourite is having drags down the straight of trial mountain the tunnel area. I even have rolling starts to eliminate traction issues, very very fun imho, although they need a better rpm gauge in 2ply mode. the porsche pretty much nails most cars off the line it looks awesome with 4wd smoking up (too bad no tread marks on the game). I usually like using weak to mid power cars to drag in 2ply, high power is just no fun. Oh btw GT3 concept is shit stick with GT3.
Set up for the Z on GT3 Ive got the Zed with everything done to it, but i just cant get good handling.What kind of set up have you guys got for damper, spring rate etc?Ive tried adjusting everything I understand (and a bit of other stuff) but cant get it right so ive just changed to a stage 3 turbo.ANy ideas or settings? I love that game, to get good handling you w ill probably notice that you have to play with the traction control settings. Also make sure your using the analogue sticks for turning and accelerating. Turn off that active stable control. Set the gear ratios so that the last line is hitting the top right hand corner of the square box. Use soft tyres on the front, medium/soft on the back. The only way you can control it is master drifting then gun it on the straights, btw you will find that auto using R2 as overrunning the revs is quicker than using manual. It is easy to drift using the analogue sticks, just turn say hard right, then 3/4 accelerator and turn left once you start sliding, go from the outside of the track to the inside corner of the turn, u will get use to it.
I keep my ylw zed at 600hp think thats stage 3, with traction off, and drive it like that, i hate the analogue stick, but i guess i could get used to it though i refuse to. The new depression x button on the ps2 controller is good enough fore me. but yea no matter how well you drive it cant compare it to the real race cars. Any one won one of those f1/carts? Ive noticed that the best power to weight ratio car on the game is the suzuki escudo pine's peak once again, when modified pumps out something like 1700hp and weighs something like 800kgs lol. Tried racing the f1/kart with this suzuki and they left me by miles even off the line those damn bastards are so fast. Wish i could win one.

Do 'like the wind' in Pro league & score Mazda 787B. Quad rotor turbo which is mid mounted & fully bombed makes 937HP & it only weighs 830KG. I tried that polyphony series with this weapon & i can only just keep up......with the back runners that is Those F1/carts are dam fast!!!!
