and smoke from passenger side exhaust is more than the driver side, abnormal? (should be steam, moisture on mirror)

nothing have been done to the zed, not even driven it all the time, less than 500km in this couple of weeks.

just start servicing the zed today, changed oil, oil filter, redline gearbox oil, clean connectors, check spark plug, etc.

it starts good and runs good, even good on fuel consumption. just smoke when cold start (steam? it is exhaust smell, white not blue or black), once it gets warm then it has no smoke. i thought it should be normal, but maybe not? (maybe the day you drove it was warm?)

perhaps i should buy a compression tester tomorrow

steam on startup should be fine if it's white. check the oil fill cap for any coffee coloured sludge, check the rad fill for any foam. I really wouldn't be worried though

Car was cold(hadn't been driven or started for several days), coolant was very clean, oil was not dirty or contaminated, exhaust note was very nice and the engine ran very smoothly(there was a small amount of steam from both exhaust pipes(which disappeared after a couple of minutes).
Perhaps you have disturbed a few connectors while cleaning/checking them?:zlove:

I have what seems to be the exact same problem. It started with one side and then happened to the other.

When you first start it happens every two or so seconds and after a few minutes at operating temp it happens every second or so. I've also noticed that there is a bit of exhaust coming through the air vents when the A/C is on and the car isn't moving. This stops if you set it to recirc.

At this point I beleive it to either be the Turbo to Dump gaskets or the Dump to Front pipe gaskets causing the issue.

Get an exhaust shop to look over your exhaust for leaks.

could be turbo oil seals but most minor smoke goes away once the cats warm up
