Hi guys I am about to do a plenum pull on my 300. what i need to know is what i should be doing while i have the plenum off as there are so many things to do so a comprahensive list of things to do while she is off would be great. also i have to do the injectors because they are leaking and an oil change. I was wondering if there is anyone on the north side of brisbane that could lend me a set of ramps i can put the 300 up on so i can do an oil change?. tuesday will be the day for it so if any z guru's are not doing anything this comming tuesday and would like to drop by for a beer / offer some guidance that would be greatly appreciated.

Where abouts are you? I may have a few hours free on Tuesday arvo...

    TT or NA?

Zed won't get up on ramps either, go and buy a good trolley jack and some jack stands.

Sandeep make a pretty good list in his plenum pull thread, that was based on mine which was based on the Zed4Life list so has seen quite a bit of field testing.

You are already going to get your injectors cleaned I gather, obviously byoass the under plenum coolant hoses, replace every other hose you can get at, clean/paint your cam covers if you like that kind of stuff, give the plenum itself a good clean. Reroute PCV if you are going to be doing any track driving. Work out what you want to do about the EGR I guess.

Take apart clean and test your IACV and AAC.

If you just want it up to change the oil you can get it high enough to squeeze under by driving the front wheels onto planks.

Have you got a link to his guide?

Can someone please explain to me (in detail) what i am doing with the EGR and how i can bugger it off. basicly i want this thing haulling as much ass as i can without all the anti-polution addons giving me grief.

Not on hand, search for threads started by Sandeep about plenum pulls, should come up fairly quickly.

The tech article on this is quite good from memory. Basicly you can either cut and block off the 3 pipes (one coming up underneath each side of the plenum and on coming from the exhaust) and get rid of the solenoid on the driver's side of the engine or you can get rid of the whole lot which is a bit trickier as the valve is behind the engine. I know this can be done with the engine in on an NA though it is very fiddley, not sure if it can be done withthe engine it on a TT though.

List of parts required for plenum pull. ANy prices quoted need to be updated...

Read here. Please note: I'm not doing plenum pulls at the moment, but the list of parts /suppliers etc is still accurate.

Make sure you get Dwight (Electronic Injector Services) to service the injectors. He can also supply new injector connectors. His details here.
