yep .. agood one scott ... i am thinking of having the 100k service done 3-4 months before the zed-fest drive .. so a plenum pull consolidation list, covering the 100k as well, would seem to be the ants-pants ...!!! black baz - i feel like i'm diagonally parked in a parallel universe ...!!
Baz!!! Great idea mate, however I think that the 100,000km service and the plenum pull list's should be separate as there are many people wanting to do them individually.:thumbsup:
Re: "diagonally parked in a parallel universe" Baz you certainly have a way with words  For the 100k sevice you know where to go , parts acquired via Coz at substantial $aving$. I'm doing my plenum pull & bypass shortly and you're welcome to attend, parallel parked, of course
scott .. glad my subtle suggestion got through ...!!!! that was my intent i think that there are so many of us ( and lots of newbies plus igno me ..!!) moving to plenum pulls or 100k services that a newly updated list of each would be muchly appreciated .. in my case, i plan to go via the concept route but would look to the massive knowledge base of this forum to supplement their list to ensure that i get done absolutely everything i can in the one foul swoop ..!! hence the great value in developing the two updated consolidations now ... black baz .. if everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something ..!!! :zlove::LOL::wacko::wacko:
rob .. i must admit, like most of my stuff, to large amounts of plagiarism !!! .. and yep, i would love to supervise your plenum pull ... but i also remember what my mum said about similar activities engaged in by teenage boys ..!! ..just let me know when ... and how about this one:the early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap ..!!:LOL::wacko:
Bringing up this topic again with a couple of questions: Are these the heater hoses that should be replaced when the plenum is off? Which other coolant hoses to replace? (i will be bypassing the under plenum coolant pipes)
Carefully selected alternatives from Supercheap can save you at least $60 ... ...From from a2z of cooling tech article... # EDIT: from aus300zx member Russ: Priced heater hoses from Nissan,$150.?????. TTZ around $90, went to Supercheap and went through their hose collection. The left side you can use a Pulsar/Astra 1.6/1.8 ( part number ch1614) the right side was an unknown(no label)cut 60mm off one end, perfect fit! $11 the pair! # # Just ensure the curves are not restrictive and crimp the flow of coolant as this can become a bottleneck in the system causing major overheating. #
No ... was referring mainly to the 8mm hose to LH turbo >>> It may be cut from the length of 8mm hose you buy for the bypass.
My two cents worth - Be real fussy about the quality of the 8mm hose for the LH turbo. You do not want to do it twice. I also removed the intermediate metal tube and ran it in one piece to the main pipe (where your heater hoses connect)
