hey everyone, i own a tt zx and im after some ideas, i took my zx for a spin today as it has not been driven for a week and i noticed that once i hit 4th gear doing about 80 and 3000revs and i boot it, it lags then jumps to 5000 revs really quickly with no real speed gain then slumps then continues to gain on speed, im really sorry im a newb to all this and i hope im not wasting anyones time if it is something simple, any info is greatly appreciated before i take it to a mechanic. cheers nathan
Clutch is starting to slip aand/or (since you haven't driven it lately) you have oil leaking onto the clutch and when you gas it, the oil burns off and then comes good...
3000rpm at 4th sounds like manual. The revs jump when you boot it right? I think your clutch is due for replacement.

As has been said many a time before, with the box out you want to get the rear main seal done too. Search the forum for a list of things to do while the box is out. H
