I have bought my first Zed and have had the motor replaced as it's engine was blown.

The clutch worked fine before the engine replacement but when reconnected will not bleed. I have had new seals put in the master cylinder and tried rebleeding again. It is not working, does anyone have any info on the tricks to bleeding Zed Clutches once the seal has been broken

Please help as my zed is not on the road until it is AOK

There are 2 bleed points, one at the unit and another down the side of the

    front guard.

Hmm, hopefully the old forum will....

...be searchable again one day as I wrote a fairly detailed post on this.
Can you tell us if you are able to bleed any fluid, or is it just that you have not been able to bleed all the air out yet?
I'll give you a quick pointer, pull the slave cylinder off the bell housing when bleeding from dry, so you can angle the bleed nipple to the top (in your hand), then give it a few wacks with a spanner to get all the bubbles to the top, then bleed the system from the slave with your thumb pumping the piston (and bleeding from the slave nipple). There are two more bleed points, one on top of the master cylinder (and a real pain to get at), plus the one on the drivers side inner guard, but make sure you have put the slave back in position before hand or its piston will pop out

I tried your method Gazza and it worked a treat and

because of the over centre clutch pedal I also found that I could bleed the other two nipples without aid from someone else (a first) - push pedal to floor (stays there by itself) tighten bleed screw - pull clutch pedal up and loosen bleed screw etc. etc. Fiddly but convenient if no one else is at hand. I also found that it took quite a few cycles to bleed the nipple on the side of the guard because this pipe is relatively large.
