Howdy all, Here's a pic of my new Z. Give me a few weeks and she'll be all wingless. Click Here While you're looking at the pic, take a look at the wheels. When I put it in for the 100k service right after I bought it, the guys threw new back tyres on it... and I think they've put the wheels on backwards! Well actually I know they have. Bit sloppy if you ask me... but anyway... does anyone know if this will pose some kind of a strength/fatigue problem for the wheels being on this way? If not, I suppose it's not really an issue. Noone will really notice except Z drivers anyhow. Interested in peoples thoughts. M
The rims should be put back in the > correct positions as they are designed to aid brake cooling/ventilation. If these guys put them on the wrong way, they are responsible to rectify that mistake. Something that simple could be used to avoid an insurance payout if you are unlucky.Cheers Lloyd :-Z
No structural problems Most tyre places never even notice that there is a right and left wheel. They've all look at me in surprise when I tell them (always before they do any work). I tell them to look for the 'R' and 'L' and get it right. The only difference having them on the wrong side is that the ventilation of the brake disks will not work quite as well - not a problem around town - and everyone else with a Z will tell you that you've got your wheels on backwards. See Ya, Garry
Great photo Mark- Nice looking zed-when are you doing the "Brazilian'?I get my new <h1><marquee>manual</marquee></h1> zed back today from Colin ... aggg- 3 long weeks!!!PS: Have you actual proof to substantiate your claim about silver zeds and women? Because I think you'll find that statistically, red will attract more undergarments per kilometre...:-Z
Going Brazillian as soon as possible... ...going to Cresta today to check for some parts. If I have no joy there I'll just have to order a few odds and ends new. All up, should take about a month or so I'd say.As for the scientific evidence, will my theory has been tested extensively with Z Chick, and has proved accurate so far!
Hey Mark, when you R @ cresta, could u see if they have any manual gearstick boots?(The outside one that goes onto the actual console. Not the inside one) That's the one thing Colin hasn't been able to track down.Ifso, could you ask them to set it aside for me?Many thanks mark :YD

Looking nice and clean now Mark But it could do with some colour...maybe a red stripe down the side Excellent work...look forward to checking out some of the mountain roads with you and Bec on Sunday.
Make sure... If you swap your wheels to the correct sides, the rotational direction of your newly fitted tyres will probably be facing the wrong way, as most good tyres are built to rotate in only one direction. Check your tyres to see if they are directional or not. If they are, you will have to get them refitted before you can swap over your wheels.
