this guy cut and put new wheel weels in. did u do this aswell dub or did you just bash the bumps out ?

also you can see where the strut tower piece sits over the wheel well bit originally. i can see youve taken this back aswell dub did u just cut it back and weld it up ?

Probably going to go behind where the Fuseable Link box goes, but be a custom billet, or carbon fibre one.

It's the original metal massaged to suit. Doesn't make sense to me to cut all the original metal out, then weld new ones in, THEN weld over the old weld lines around the top of the tower. It's only metal, nothing a hot blowtorch won't persuade. You don't have to bash it too much if you make pie cuts in the raised bumps initially and then weld them up before heat/shrinking the metal to suit.

Surprised it works at all. That pump will lose prime.

its still higher than the pump though, as long as when you set it up initially with the resi raised a bit it should sit right ay.

What I don't understand is he went to all the effort to move it but can't be bothered strapping 2 turbos to his engine!

I can't understand all show no go builds like that..

Not really Stretch, been distracted a bit lately with other things. On the plus side the new block is machined and the rebuild gasket kit and ARP bolt kit has arrived from Coz.

She's finally back from the paint shop today. Was away for far too long but now i have to start putting bits back together and decide exactly what engine should go back in.

    lol

I'll put up a few pics just for perve sake once I've cleaned it all down properly. So much bodyshop dust and it gets in everywhere.

Might have to have a bbq day so I can look at other Z's to remind me what goes where :/

    Epic.

this Z is inspirational. I like the white Z's but theres something about a dark glossy paintjob and a white interior that does it for me. I like the way you smoothed off a lot of things in the engine bay, subtle things but makes a huge difference. also +1 for going with the original shape, no need for side skirts or a rear wing. just a nice front bar is all they really need IMHO!
