hi need thise gone asap engine has a broken rod apart from that everithing works fine comes with automatic gearbox the dash and engine harnes the lot for $600 half cut shell $200 manual ecu $150 greddy turbo timer $50 i need tham gone price is neg!!!
A broken rod is a big liability. Buyer would expect at least some valvetrain damage, scored cylinder wall, and maybe some bottom end damage, depending on the nature of the engine failure. Good price for parts, but not the best for a potential rebuild.
Ill have to rephrase that... I dont want to hate on this for sale thread, but... The motor is good for its price, with all the accessories make it a good purchase for someone who wants 'an engine worth of spares'. This is what i havwe done with my build- got a junker for a small fee and the parts have paid or themselves 3x over. But buyer beware: if you think that it can be an easy fix to make this engine good for a rebuild, 'please re-consider'.
ok i pushed it for a bit that day, on my way home was driving normaly just befor my house i puled at the lights and my engine starts cliking 1 km away from home. thats all the driving the car had after it brok. there is no smoke from the mufflers when i turn the car on and it runs ok dosent turn of or anything just makes cliking sound.
If its just a knock then its just a spun bearing in most cases which mean another crank or re machining and new bearings. Motor will be fine if it hasn't actually broken anything. Good luck with the sale mate Too bad you haven't got anything I need.
