Hey guys, just trying to clear my park lights because they look weird next to my HIDs. How do I open the clear casing once i remove the two screws? Can i lever it out, or is it an oven job like the tail lights?

And once out, can I just remove the orange diffuser, or do I need to cut a clear one out and replace it?

    Thanks

Sorry guys, I got the parts confused, been pulling too much stuff out...

It's not that bit I want to change, but the light next to it that comes on with the headlights. It only has one screw in it, but it just keeps turning...

How do I get it out, and is it just an orange bulb?

    IVE DON it

    IVE DONE THIS

u just but it in the oven for 15 min at middle temp or then if u cant pull it appart u use a heat hun not on the lense but on the inner housing (WHITE BIT/CASSING) then u jently take out the lens

than u use a soldering iron or use the heat gun nd heat up a screwdriver nd put it onto the little bits that are holding the silver bit that holds the orange bulb in mel those bits off and it will come out

re heat the lese a bit but mainly the white case and put it back 2gether u can re use the glue it works fine just heat it up and let it set

i hope this made some sense

Ok, I understand which ones now - aus spec indicators. You have to take the outer most side indicators out first (these might just be tinted blanks) by unscrewing the 2 screws, then inside the front bumper bar you will find 3 bolts (10mm I think) holding the foggies in place. Unbolt these and they pop straight out. Won't take too long to do. The screw you are winding is the aiming adjustment screw.

Yeah but aus spec indicators should have ben installed as a part of compliancing during the import process.

You were exactly right, pulled them out this morning, went down to AutoBarn and got a set of white LEDs to replace them with ($16). Easy job, looks great!

    Thanks for the help!

looks awesome mate, but isn't there a concern with running led's and the high temps?
was thinking of going down the same route with HID but want to make sure i can get my driving lights to look similar.

I think it'll be fine, the park lights are all on their own down there, so it shouldn't heat up too much. Unless maybe when I have my fog lights on, but I never use them.

its funny how autobarn and others charge like 15-20 for just LEDs......i bought a tonne of LEDs from this place brightlightautoparts.com as it was a new thing back in the day and even autobarn didnt have them............

talking about LEDs i put the blue ones in the parkers on the lexus gs300......headlights were HIDs with yellow foggies and LED blue parkers.....VIP cuz:p
