    Hey guys
Right before the cruise, my car does as mentioned in the title.
On my way home from work, nearly home and see the temp really up there, so i crawl home for the last few hundred metres. get on the drive way and she is boiling. Turn it off. I hear a bubbling sounds like something boiling, and this brown shiz is leaking from right behind the passenger side intercooler.

Now i just put the Japtek SMIC's in last weekend. and had to slightly modify the Charcoal Canisters tubes, but what we altered, was re-sealed as good as it ever was, nothing over tightened or anything.

Ill upload a pic of what we modified behind the intercooler in a sec.

Any ideas what it is? o_O

Could be rusty water/sludge coming out of your radiator overflow tank.
How long since the cooling system was serviced?

I havent had the car long so don't no for sure. Apparently it has it's major service not long before i bought it.
Would this cause it to overheat. and by overheat I mean it was almost at the third notch with the H

When it cools down, check the coolant in the radiator, it shouldn't be a brown rust colour.
If it has been properly serviced, it should have rust inhibitor or antifreeze in the cooling system.
These products are usually coloured green sometimes a reddish orange.
The stock temperature guage is notorious for its inaccuracy.
Good to see your on the ball & checking it, can save a lot of heartache & dollars!

Do you have the radiator shroud on?
My temp gauge tends to go ballistic if mine is off.

when you boil an engine by accident like that. The bubbles of steam can dislodge a lot of crap from inside the block. Might not have seemed badly rusty before but afterward a lot of Shite can be evident in the coolant.

The rust may not be a cause but could be a result. You need to find out why it boiled before worrying about the rust.

Just dont put a cleaner through it unless you want to replace the radiator and heater core soon.:(

also something to remember with these cars is to make sure when your filling with coolant, that the nose of the car MUST BE IN THE AIR......

try and park on a hill or put it on ramps or something.....

the reason being is you need the radiator to be the highest point in the system, or you will end up with air trapped in the heads and other places, ie , your coolant system won the full!

Thanks for all the help guys.
Turns out the Radiator was pretty damn dry o_O so Flushing it all today. Well flushing what is left and filling it up again.
Would should hopefully do the trick.

Was scary though. Left it on the drive way (not the garage) incased the bloody thing decided to blow up hahaha

I would be asking why its "dry". Check for coolant leaks and I wouldnt be worried about this brown shiz, you might want to check to see if you have cooked your engine.

Haven't had any leaks. So that remains a mystery for the moment.
How ever how would i go about checking to see if my engines cooked?

Also coolant wise. We don't need anti freeze correct? I've just been looking on supercraps website so i can work out what i need on my way home. Was thinking of going the Demineralised water with a concentrate path. Just wondering would a Anti freeze/anti boil concentrate do the trick? Like the Calibre product. And is it the green or red one?

I saw some where on a diff website that green is ok... But that could of been a American website.

I realize this. But I have looked for leaks since the day I got it. One thing I didn't however do was check the coolant levels. (Such and idiot)
Until yesterday no coolant had leaked (until it boiled)
Is it possible the water portion of the solution evaporated over time and the remaining solution is what leaked out yesterday afternoon?

probably did not leak because you have been running on dry for so long .. lol.

i would give it a couple of thorough flushes, over a few days, with TECTALOY MUKOUT (Supercrap)

When totally clean use TECTALOY 500Mil concentrate available from S/Crap for about $9.00 ... and fill up with demineralised water if desired ... i use tap water and do an annual flush for safety.

Ill do the flushes as mentioned, and top it up and keep a very close eye on any possible leaks.

As a matter of interest, Z32's came from the factory with the cooling systems containing antifreeze.
The owners manual mentions the cooling system to be filled with 30% ethylene glycol type antifreeze & soft water at temperatures down to -15 deg C.
50% if the temperature is lower.
