    Hi all,

I have a socketed ECU in the Zed that was running a "Kazooma" ?? tune and in preparation for a drive to Sydney and then onto QLD I thought I would finally fit my Ostrich II and write a stock JDM manual tune to it to save fuel on the trip.

All was well until the car warmed up on the way to 8 ball last night, then it started cutting out at lower revs. If I put my foot down it ran well but as soon as I backed off again light throttle pressure made it cut out. I pulled over and let it idle for a minute and it ran fine for the rest of the way to 8 ball and all the way home again. I needed to go out this morning and the symptoms returned once the car warmed up and no amount of idle rest would clear it. Prior to me fitting the Ostrich the car ran well.

My first suspicion was the PTU, so I changed it for a brand new type II but it has made no difference.

I'm considering just ripping the Ostich out and putting the chip back in but for now I think I'll write that "kazooma"?? map to it and see if it helps.

I really need to get this sorted as I'm supposed to be leaving for Sydney at midnight tonight so I'm grateful for any useful help.

    Cheers,
    Dave

    It's ok guys, all sorted....
It seems that being the ham fisted truck driver I am, I somehow fried the ECU when installing it.

Fortunately I had a spare AT ECU laying around. The old girl's running like a swiss watch now and ready for the Sydney/QLD run.

I'll get another ECU socketed and have a play with the Ostrich when I get back.

    Cheers,
    Dave
