QLD Open Sprints, Lakeside 16th May

I have entered these open sprints at Lakeside on 16th May, It would be great to see a few more forum members and their cars out there.

Cove (Neil) & 260DET (Richard) turned up for the mid week sprints last Thursday. By the way thanks for your help and advice guys.

Application forms can be downloaded from the "Queensland Raceways" site.
Cost for the day is $189.00 if you pre-book or $219.00 on the day. You will need at least the AASA competition licence (just requires civil licence and $55 for one year,$20 for one day, no tests or other requirements)

Check in time 0830 - 0930
Briefing 0930.

Sprints start around 1000.

No cost for spectating

I'm sure everyone knows, but Lakeside is North of Brisbane at Dakabin, next to Pine Rivers Golf course

Do you need a licence for the mid-week sprints? Let me know if you go out for another mid-week run as I'd like to join you.

 

Yes, you do need a license, AASA one, whether it be open sprints, street sprints or mid week

 

Hmmm ... I'm a bit short of play money at the moment, so I'll have to be part of your support crew .

 

Will have to pass on this one, it's on the weekend, sister is coming up from Adelaide and she is not a car racing fan. So will be looking forward to the next one.

I'll have to come to one of these once the car is up and running again. Will look into it then.

 

I wish this was this weekend as I would have been able to make it out for a run.

I called the raceway to see if they would move it ahead for me but they hung up on me, both times.
