Jack car up (front rhs) remove inner guard liner, locate bonnet cable, cut, pull the inner.

Bonnet is now open, replace cable (pain in the ass) cost isn't too bad. job done.

Very hard to get bonnet open any other way with a Z32.

Failing that use the standard technique for opening the doors when keys are locked inside etc, much easier, much cheaper.

Jack up car, put positive jumper cable on starter motor positive post(it has a rubber cap and is a large gauge cable). Put negative battery cable to good earth point on body( gearbox bolt will be fine). Press button on remote.

^ what he said, then you don't have to replace anything....

pays to fit a posi cable somewhere and have a cover etc where you know where it is.... but not obvious to a thief....as the starter motor one can be a bit of a bitch to get to.... pays to also protect it from access as its an easy way to nick it.

comes in handy with shaved door handles as well....

I would offer a spare set if i had one, but i have to replace all of mine because the last muppet i bought it off had lost the key so i had to snap steering lock to get it on the truck lol

Wouldn't ringing the RAC be the go?
I have the same problem, my key opens nothing and if the battery goes flat on me, straight onto the RAC is plan "A".
Looks like I need new locks too.

Take the door locks out and have a locksmith repair them.
it is a very simple task and does not cost alot of money.

I've just trashed about 6 or so posts in this thread discussing breaking into the Z and various methods of achieving this goal.
The policy of the forum is as follows:-

No matter how obvious a given method may be, we don't make it any more obvious or easier for thieves or "would-be thieves" to steal or learn to steal or break into our vehicles.
Sorry if you disagree, but too bad if you do.

Also the thread is locked as the issue is resolved thanks to Eric.
