    Flame suite on... :bash:

    Crashed the Z today...

Although I was being a dickhead, I picked my moment...
No one in sight, no one in the car, nothing to worry about except this...

Just oversteered a tad, spun out, hit a gutter at about 40...

Feel free to tell me I'm a dickhead, or whatever you feel is appropriate...
Not like I don't already know though :bash:

Lucky I was only 5 minutes away from UAS! Towed it down there for them to fix but they'd already gone home...
Anyway, what does everyone think this will cost me?

    Cheers,
    Pete. :zlove: :zlove: :zlove:

if you grab all 2nd hand parts from the for sale section, i'd say circa 500~
shouldnt be too bad, and dont be so hard on yourself, not like you endagered anyones life.. mistakes are made and it's an easy fix

    ewwww bummer....

when wheels look like that you always think the worst, but luckily it tends to suspension components giving up, not the chassis or anything.....parts can be had second hand cheaply for the z these days, the most expensive thing to replace will most likely be the rim.....
learn the lesson and move on, you still have a z and you now know what NOT to do lol:p
    have a good one

Is that a nail in your tyre? ....

... least of your probs

Maybe a 2nd hand rear cradle if one available at around $500 + labour :(

I imagine the rim is buckled although possibly repairable.

i think it may cost you your pride and dignity...

    bahaha just kidding :D
hope its just your suspension arms but who knows a mate did a similar job to his 1995 2JZ supra and it cost $16k (insurance job), but he did the front in as well and smashed his front bar, new cross members ect so i think you'll fare much better...

    good luck:biggrin:

    Don't feel bad..

I did the exact same thing. It was raining, gave the throttle a little tap out of a corner and over steered across Brookton Hwy into the curb at about 40 - 50k's. The hit was on the same side, although the front left wheel hit first servilely cracking the lip. This sent the rear of the car into the curb which bent the upper control arm. Which by the looks of things you have too. It looks far worse than it probably is, it didn't cost me anything to fix the suspension. I managed to pick up a secondhand upper control arm off another member. The rims however cost me around $200 which was a top quality job. My car has a almost unnoticeable lean to the left which may be an axle issue, I'm not too sure but it hasn't caused any problems yet and the incident happened almost a year ago.

From the pics your rims look fine, so it may cost you up to a $100 if that. A wheel alignment included.

:Edit: I just noticed that you've broken the support arm? as well :p You can get aftermarket ones for $?? or you should be able to pick up a secondhand one still pretty cheap.

Don't stress you'll be back on the road in no time.

Well I was feeling pretty crap until reading some of those stories...
    Still sucks though :bash:

Might get UAS to fit up a set of coilovers since half of it's going to be apart anyway...

I just hope I didn't mess up the front too bad, I couldn't see anything wrong but the rim took a good whack... I hope nothings bent :(

    Thanks for the support guys!

    Cheers,
    Pete. :zlove:

    All is well again!

With a big thanks to wokburner & UAS! My Z is all fixed up :zlove:

Even with the hit it took, the wheels were still fine apart from the big chunks/scratches... This gave me a good excuse to get some new ones!

    Cheers Guys!
