Hey guys, Sad day. I've wrecked my Zed. Spun it into a tree attacking a corner. It's a 1990 N/A manual 2by2 t-top. Interior is fine, front isn't. Tree hit the driver's-front wheel, pressed it in a bit. Its currently spending the night at a tow depot in Mornington (Mornington Peninsula), and it's up for grabs. Local wrecker's won't give me much for it, so I figured if anyone wants it they can have it for whatever they want to pay. It will need to go on the back of a truck. Extra info: -all 4 leather seats -Cargo blind isn't in great nick -2 or 3 good wheels and tyres -Also selling two leather targa bags and two t-top shadey covery things.
Ask all you like They didn't specify, they're sort of pending an inspection. But I've heard $500. Considering what they'll make of that car, that they currently have no Zedz whatsoever, and that 300ZX parts are ridiculously expensive...$500 is a joke.

lucky to walk away from that one mate.........a few more metres and that tree would have been in your lap. is the motor running still? if so, worth about 1-1.5k. if its not, 750-1k. imho of course, in reality , its worth what someone will pay.
For some perspective, Wreckers offered $700 for my write off that only has cosmetic damage to the back and quarter panels and is structurally fine and mechanically perfect Twin Turbo 2 seater. Even the chassis rails are fine. They just aren't worth **** all it seems.
I think the wrecker's are just cheap and want to rip you off. Not sure if the engine's running. Stalled it during the crash, haven't started it since. It's still hanging around at the tow depot, didn't act on it today. If anyone wants it. I've had a good offer, it's just a matter of sorting the damn thing out
I'm after a set of rear leather seats, if you feel like donating before the wrecker take it I'd be very appreciative!
I'm starting to think I should rip them out for myself, if I can get a chance. If I get another Zed there's a very low chance it'll have the leathers, and since I currently own a set, I may as well keep them. You've got a '97! Was it optioned without leather? What a shame.
You know what, if its a stock NA auto, crashed beyond repair.... Unless you want to store and part it out yourself... $500 isn't so bad for them to take it away. Part it yourself and you will make 2000-3000 without much trouble, but you will need to store it and put many hours of work in pulling it apart. Buying one like this, I would expect to pay less than a grand at best. Y
It's a manual, and most of the car is in good condish, but I see your point. And I just don't have the time to part it out myself.
It's up in the air. But I've had a good offer, so we'll see. For the record, the wreckers offered $300. I think not!
