Not much of a gain to be had so I've read in one particular article. Think it might have been John's (UAS) build that saw very little improvement in flow but cant find the info. I would see the advantage of port matching tho but i'd leave the extrude honing out of it personally.
I was weighing up the gains of port matching vs the fact that port matching makes the ports bigger in that particular area so a slight expansion or bulge in the runner. More space to fill, slower throttle response ect. But as you say the difference would be unnoticeable. Plus I'll need a camera to check the match fitted I'm sure.
Gasket match the the ports. Re extrude honing the intake manifolds -last I heard was it makes a difference on the flow bench and not on the dyno.
OK so extrusion honing out the door. I'll gasket match the ports but now I must decide on a gasket. Pretty keen on the bakerlite ones UAS can get in. Anyone running them or noticed a lower Intake temp?.
port match everything on a performance motor . (Its all about removing turbulence and restrictions ) doing just one thing gets cancelled out by a mismatch elsewhere. extrusion honing will make a difference but again you would do plenums exhaust manifolds and exhaust housings (while having everything match ported) people still fail to see a build as a complete system. .
