about to do an avcr install and it occurred to me that I could have everything fairly neatly hidden and laid out if I installed the valve inside the passenger side guard (where the aiv? is).

The tech article suggests placing it all the way up the front though.

Anyone see any problems with installing it in the guard? or maybe where stock solenoids were?

    Its quite a noisey solenoid

so the further away the better. Most dont hear it in the nose but im told anywhere else is quite audible.

    No, better at the front

There are problems with running un-equal waste gate hose lengths and uneven boosting. Better to place the soleniod at the front under the nose panel. This where the hoses will come out at the same length, and its pretty protected from water etc. You do NOT want water to get into your soleniod. Even more so your boost sensor, place that up on you firewall.

Mate has the POWER FC on his GTR and the

solenoid is placed on the firewall and at 1pound of boost + it's very loud and damn annoying! When going quickly you don't really notice it as you are concentrating on other things...the road... but if you are cruising with the occasional flutter on boost then an irritating noise you will have.
