Oil Viscosity

    Hey,

    It's time for my first oil change. I'm gonna get Castrol Edge Sport, and I'm just wondering what grade I need.

    w50 has done fine for me. According to the service manual, w40 oil is good for winter, w50 for summer temps. Check the manual for more info :)

    Thanks :) What do the numbers actually mean? And what is the importance of the number before the 'w'? Someone just suggested 10w60...

    Edge doesn't come in 15w50 :(

    Only if they dob you in ;) lol... or you get caught by the parents :S

    edge 10W50.

    Shame its the most expensive one. Its never on special like the 5W50 is.

    Dont use the 5W oil. Its too thin.
