Oil presssure sender replacment - is a new electrical plug needed?

I'm planning to replace the OPS with a VDO sender as recommended in other posts. Does the elctrical fitting on the Z fit straight on to the VDO sender?

(I've read two tech articles and one suggests replacing the plug and the other doesn't mention it.)

 

Mine has a female spade connecter thing crimped onto the wire.

just slides over the terminal on the vdo sensor firm fit, mine has been on like that for a few years now.

 

Sounds like the standard fitting is OK without mod, thanks
