Has anyone got any pics of how they've run the oil hoses at the filter tree when installing sandwich plates or relocation adapters? ie to the relocated filter and/or oil cooler.

I can find pics online from the US, but of course they don't have all the steering components in the way.

    Thanks.

Can't find my photos but using a take off plate and relo I go from one of these http://www.mscn.com.au/index.php?route=product/product&path=284_286&product_id=354 with adaptors to I think 45 deg -10 elbows, drop the lines under the steering knuckle then up to and along the chassis rail over the crossmember then into the nose panel area by tucking beside the radiator (pwr rad). I use texilte pushlok hose with firesleeve on most of the hose in the engine bay to protect from heat and abrasion .

Not a very tidy set up but hasn't given me any grief yet.

Yeah I'm looking at a similar item from Derale in the US, then relocate the filter to the nose area.

Did you go under the steering rack or through the small opening between the lower section of the steering column and the engine? I'm hoping I can get two -10 hoses through there otherwise will have to go along the bottom of the chassis rail past the turbo which I don't want to do :(

Under the uni then over the rack and along the rail. Goes pretty close to the compressor but got a few inches from the exhaust with little turbos so should be fine with some heat sleeve on it. I don't think there's any reasonable way to go under the rack, puts it in a very vulnerable position and the bends would be quite tight.
Rob B and a few others use the GREX thermo sandwich plate with the angle fittings which I think was a nicer design than mine but pictures are probably gone and I can't remember where the hoses went.

I don't know if you can see what's going on in this pic, also turns out I used 90deg fittings. https://photos.app.goo.gl/wkHCG3foNykRhbD73

An alternative would be the new BDE filter tree delete relo-fittings, looks pretty user friendly.

Cools so looks like you went to the outside, I'm hoping to go to the inside through the gap next to the engine, then follow a similar path to the factory oil cooler lines. Will have to see once I get the adapter.

Would love to go the BDE option, sadly I'm just a poor racer and can't afford bling :( lol.

I had -10 lines running off a motorsport connections sandwhich plate fitted to an NA filter tree. You’re welcome to come have a look at the path of the lines.

Thanks Rob, I want to retain the TT filter tree, more on that later.

Makes it a bit tricky then -are you wanting to run full flow? You could probably plug the outlets on the TT tree and use a sandwhich plate?

Nope, won't be plugging the outlets on the TT tree. I'll post what I'm doing once I've done it and tested it. Don't want to be accused of ignoring the advise of the elders for doing something different lol.

Happy to discuss with you over a phone call if you're interested.
