I knew it won't be long long before you start looking for another project. Take back everything whatever you sold to Jinxed other day.
This is a great idea! I'm in for this too m8. Let me know when and I'll be there with a sanding block and speed file in hand
Sounds good Sound like a couple of tech drinking sessions are called for . Gonna be a little while guys, I have to get better first want to strip everything off the shell once I get it home and then take my time. Michelle has got a heap of work planned out around the house first tho
Good luck with your new project Andy. Having the rotisserie will make it a very big project, although you only need that if you want to have an underside worth looking at. If it's a street car you just need to paint the underside in ute tub liner and bolt all the subframes back in (which you can do without a rotisserie) Food for thought? If it's going to have mirrors under it and all jacked up at a car show or 2 then the rotisserie will come in handy for removing all that road sound deadening and spot welds etc. If you slam it down on the deck (I hear it looks good ) then no-ones going to be able to see under it anyway
Good point Good point mate, never looked at it like that . still want to get it really clean underneath though. I think I could make a rotisserie quite cheaply and would be good for changing diff sub frame with engine crane instead of jack .
Andy, I have a couple of Tension rods you will need to pick up on the way through to Jamie's. That car doesn't have any. These are NOT roadworthy, but you are welcome to them. At least they will get the car onto a trailer.
cheers mate cheers mate, cant pick the car up for a little while tho, gotta get better first , will give you a call soon, Andy
Home at last Got the car home over the weekend , had to pull the dash and carpet out due to excess water in the floor . Also picked up Chris's (ezzupturbo's) 3 1/2" stainless exhaust system to modify . Got a shed full of zed again will put some photo's up over the next few days if I can Cheers, Andy
Photo's hopefully here's some photo's of the slicktop and bits http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/155/slicktopproject006.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/16/slicktopproject001.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/232/slicktopproject002.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/59/slicktopproject003.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/97/slicktopproject004.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/836/slicktopproject005.jpg/ The exhaust was bought from Chris (ezzupturbo) for a very good price and The mags from Mattyj also for a very good price So far this lot has cost me just over 1k including the shell, mags, lots of interior bits, a near new engine loom big front mount IC Koyo radiator and the 3 1/2" stainless exhaust. My plan is to take my time and get it on the road with a single turbo and if for some reason it wont go over the pits then it will be a drag beast and I will go all out On a down side, my shed is full of Zed bits again oh well like the heading says, here we go again :zlove: Cheers, Andy [TIS]
Looking nice man...keen to see this build evolve...Where did you get that exhaust system from...been looking for a similar stainless system.
