    Hi all...

I was wondering what the minimum offset that will clear stock calipers is?

    Cheers,

    Lil' Baz..... :zlove:

depends on the rim /spoke design

Offset has nothing to do with clearing calipers. Unfortunately there's nothing on a spec sheet that will tell you if it will clear calipers, you'll just have to do a trial fitment.

been through this TOPIC before ..

offsets do have some say in caliper clearance but not as much as spoke design.

    eg

my rims are +29 fronts and +35 rears.(same centre spoke design)

fronts rims have 8mm clearance from calipers .
when rears are bolted on to the front it only has 2mm clearance.

this is because the inner hub of the rear rim has 6mm less meat on it.

not every rim does this some offsets are adjusted by the dish.

then you have TE37 that is +35 with no concave and a +22 with concave.

the offset on this is by spoke design (same dish) which gives you more caliper clearance.

    .
BUT YES TRIAL FITMENT IS BEST WAY TO FIND OUT.

I'm looking at a set of Speedy Envy's in Hyper Silver...

Test fit is not an option (though it would most certainly be ideal), as the rims are no longer available anywhere in Australia due to having been discontinued. Thus, I need to source them from a U.S. business.

These are pretty close to the same rims as those dressing DUB's, Sim300's and kr4usy's Zed's, though I believe that DUB and SIM300 have the prettier (and now totally impossible to find) HP Design variants.

I want to run the same staggered set-up as DUB and SIM300 (front - 19"x8.5", rear - 19"x9.5"), but no matter how hard I try or how many people I ask - I can't get a straight answer on what offset I'd need (DUB and SIM300 said they didn't know what their offsets were when I asked about 2 years ago).

I've been offered +20 offset front, and +38 offset rear by a business in the U.S. with the rims in stock - but I just don't understand/know if they'll fit.

    Help is truly appreciated...

    Again, I've been offered:

    - Front - 19" x 8.5", +20 offset

    - Rear - 19" x 9.5", +38 offset

I have stock calipers and stock sized vented/slotted rotors

Does anyone know if this will fit?

Those offsets will fit under your guards nicely, and they will look quite flush too. You "may" need some guard rolling but no biggy at all.

As the others have said, as long as the fronts clear your calipers, you'll be fine. As for those width rims, and those offsets, they'll fit and look very nice too! :)

Why not ask this question on the US forum? There must be someone over there who is in a position to know, or at least find out for you.
Hasn't the US business ever supplied or fitted these to a US Z32?

They will fit perfectly fine, ever so slightly a minor guard roll on the rear if you have a really low ride height.

Fronts will only clear standard calipers...so if you want a brake upgrade in the future no can do unless you get spacers.
