This is the new Gearbox thread please don't post in the old one.

I have just spoken to a supplier from the Gold Coast who can deliver new Gearbox's from Japan for $2700 (irrespective of exchange rate) to the Gold Coast, he can organize shipping from there. His company is Kudos motor sports and he is a member of Aus300zx. I have asked him to introduce himself in this thread and to post all the details of prices time frames and warranties so please stay tuned.

To all AUS300ZX members interested in this group buy:

I must first commend Max for his persistence with this group guy, from personal experience I know the time and effect that goes into organising them.

As the man himself has stated, I am able to supply the gearboxes for this group buy with the addition of NA units. These units will be sourced through Nissan Australia therefore prices are static, no need to worry about economic climates and exchange rates ... just your Z :p

Before I discuses particulars of the group buy, I would like to first give a little information about myself and my trading history.

    Business Details:

    Business Name: Kudos Motorsports
    ABN: 72 770 731 025
    Location: Nerang, Gold Coast, QLD

Although I am new to the AUS300ZX community, I have been a trader on Skylines Australia for near on 3 years and have build the business on honesty and customer service. Please feel free to have a read through the feedback left by customers:
    Details of the Group Buy:
    • Required Number: 5 or greater
    • From Payment to Delivery: 6 - 8 weeks from closure of the group buy
    • Price per unit:
      • TT (Part No: 32010-45P61): $2,750.00 inc GST ($2,832.50 via PayPal/Credit Card)
      • Non Turbo (Part No: 32010-45P71): $3,350.00 inc GST ($3,450.50 via PayPal/Credit Card)
    • Freight: Depending on location, pick-up from Nerang on the Gold Coast is possible. I would suggest people, where possible, to have multiple boxes delivered to one location; it'll save you all a few dollars.
    • Warranty Details: The conditions and procedures for lodging a warranty claim remain the same as the previous supplier; 12 Months or 20,000km. A Nissan service department will have to inspect the box to find the cause of the failure. If a warranty claim is successful Nissan will organise the repair/replacement.
Payment of can be split into two instalments, 50% upfront (TT: $1,375.00, NA: $1,675.00) and the remainder at the same time as freight

    Please Note:
    • Please be aware that a successful warranty claim in the case of a modified vehicle is extremely slim.
    • Deposits are not refundable, leaving a deposit is a commitment to purchase. To be reimbursed you would have to find someone to fulfil your order.

    Rough Freighting Prices

Following is a guide, and rough at that, for freighting costs to capital cities:
    • Darwin (0800) - $400.00
    • Sydney (2000) - $100.00
    • Canberra (2800) - $130.00
    • Melbourne (3000) - $130.00
    • Brisbane (4000) - $75.00
      • Rockhampton (4700) - $100.00
    • Adelaide (5000) - $130.00
    • Perth (6000) - $250.00
    • Hobart (7000) - $400.00
*These prices are guesstimated, I have used freighting dimensions being 1.2m x 0.70m x 0.70m which cubes to ~0.60m. I believe I have left a good margin for error, however final prices may vary depending on the actual size.

Yeah sorry. I just rang Nissan guy told him that I thought the price was wrong. He re-checked and confirmed the price of $2900. Claims it will take 3 weeks to get here.

Any idea why the NA is more expensive than a TT gearbox?
Is it just due to the number of spare units they have sitting around in warehouses (more TT's made and expected greater demand for spares) or the fact that nissan aust. can screw the price with aus delivered drivers who don't know any better...

Prob got to do with the australia thing. but if you buy a TT box and put a bigger fly and cluch on you'll never break it (within reason).
