OEM just means anything that it came out of the factory with/ factory options (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

JDM means anything from a Japanese company/ seller/ manufacturer (Japanese Domestic Market)

JDM is also a term used to describe any Japanese style of tuning

OEM is correct: "Original equipment manufacturer" which can be something that an organization makes which is then sold by another- examples might be OEM recaro seats are made BY recaro for the sole use of nissan in the Z32.

JDM is something that was made specifically for the domestic market in JAPAN- hence Japanese Domestic Market. This explains the differences between JDM Z32's, and USDM Z32's which were delivered for the US market. JDM is probably a bit bastardized with the tuning style, as it is factory differences as opposed to aftermarket differences. The toyota sprinter / toyota trueno is a good example. We got one, the japanese got the trueno.
