IT could only happen on a Zed cruise!!! (Thanks to yours truly, The Organiser!). All met as planned at Macca's; a fabulous drive - and, what a sight! - as we ventured to Cessnock, just out from the vineyards. After giving everyone detailed maps, said Organiser took a wrong turn, necessitating a hurried turnabout; too hurried, in fact, as said Organiser's (sad-looking, among all those other beautifully maintained Zeds) leading car split a powersteering pipe (bodgey to start with!!) and brought everyone to a shuddering halt and, thanks to Wokburner and Chilli, started an impromptu tech day! After cutting the power steering belt to allow non-power steerage and finding, then fixing, a more major brake problem, the boys cleaned up and we were off again...albeit with one very red-faced, but very grateful Organiser!!
Couldn't get in for lunch at McWilliams as our party was too large, so we headed up the road to McGuigan's. Again no luck, so we moved on further and finally settled for a much-needed and appreciated lunch....and post-lunch chat, with lots of picture-taking and general enjoyment.
A bunch of pretty tired, sun-burnt, and I think, happy Zedders called it a day, and drove off into the sunset...well, back to Sydney.
In all a great day...and NOT ONE BOTTLE OF WINE BOUGHT ALL DAY!! Don't think anybody cared....

Thanks all, I had a great time meeting up again, and my special thanks to Chili and Wokburner for their work on my car...!!!

Thanks for organising a really good day out Mike.

Apart from the problems mentioned by Mike, there was one frightening discovery whilst we were trying to determine the appropriate course of action for the Power Steering failure.
Both front calipers had no retaining springs fitted for the Disc Pad Locating Pins (this was discovered by me when looking through the front rims, trying to see where the P/S fluid was coming from), and only became obvious by the sight of said pins projecting 2-3cm from the calipers (and about 3-5mm from the rim spokes). I made a couple of wire "W" clips from a safety pin provided by Mary, and these were fitted by Matt, solved the problem for now, but will need replacement with the right clips ASAP.
Mike did a great job for his first ever Cruise, he even supplied "Prizes" for each car (and they were much appreciated by all).

All in all, a very enjoyable Winery Cruise come Tech Day and Social event( 8 Z32's and 1 very sexy Skyline). I know, "wash out your mouth" I hear you say, but gotta give credit where credit is due. Bloody nice car, Marsss.
Lynn & I had a really great day with really nice people. Can't wait for next time.

Thanks again for organising the day Mike!

No wine drunk on the cruise, but not to worry Mary and I made up for that on our return home, via Liquir Land. Out it hurts today says the head:sick:.

Good to get out with all the top quality folks that we have met on this forum, have lunch chat and cruise. Thats what makes these days so awesome.

Chili, Femme Chili (Lynn), Mary, Ruby and I concluded the day with what will be now known as "CHILI AND WOKBURNERS AROUND THE WORLD ZED TOUR". After turning L at the wrong place we ended up on the Wolombi Rd headed for Mt White/Peats Rigde, we then took a R turn onto the Wisemans Ferry Road so we could get another 60kms of twisties:thumbsup::wacko:. We finally got back to Penrith with one very empty tank - 450kms not bad fuel economy for a TT with bit of freeway and alot of twisty bits.

Photos when I work out how to link them.
