NSW cruise for the kids Sunday 6th July 2008

hey guys get involved in this plenty of cars going, would be great to get a group of 300'z goin

-sunday 6th july 08
-meet at homebush bay car park 5
-arrive 10.30am for 11.45 departure
-$15 charity donation for Westmeads Children Hospital per car on entry to car park at homebush
-destination Mt Penang parklands Central Coast
-sausage sizzle and drinks on the day

yer i found out about this cruise bout a month ago when it was just getting planned and i totally forgot about it and my mate just mentioned it to me 2day so i though id put it up here ASAP. i know it just over 2 weeks away but hopefully we can get as many zeds in it :zlove: :zlove:

i personally don't like these cruises. i'm all for supporting charities, but these types of cruises always have hassles from the police even when they are supposedly involved.

a couple of years ago there was a similar cruise up to Terrigal, we paid our $15, got the sticker and when we got to Terrigal, the police had set up road blocks and told us all to turn around and head back to Sydney.

and it's the same with Supercruise down to Woolongong, which is also for charity, you pay, get a decal for your car, get to Woolongong and spend about an hour there before the police tell you you have 5 minutes to leave or they will start defecting cars.

it's a long way to go, just to get told to go home. If you want to support a charity, buy a bandage bear, or a daffofil badge, or just send a cheque.... just my opinion....

 

yer ive herd bout this happening before, as long as nobody causes trouble we should be ok but i know you get some cops who tend to abuse their authority n just hassle people enjoying their pride n joys.. this is goin be my first big cruise like this so see how it goes. i plan to cruise up their with the stay for a bit but then im planning to head off to nelsons bay if the whether is good

 

i think as long as you don't do anything wrong, then you'll be fine. but there's always one idiot who spoils the fun for everyone, and then it's all over. some people just can't help themselves! i'm sure it'll be good. it's awesome to see so many different cars altogether! last year at Supercruise, even the Ferrari and Masserati clubs showed up! it was awesome while it lasted!

 

yer thats true, well i know there is nothing i can get deffected on. sure you dont want to come haylz., ive always wanted to see ur car in the flesh. im actually going to be gettin the same rims as urs except in the silver spokes with chrome dish

well make sure you pay it by then wont you lol and actually bout the rims have you got 265 or 275 on the rear?? i know either can fit, but the 275 is the proper sized tyre for a 9.5" width.

WHO ELSE WILL BE COMMING ON THE CRUISE???? i dont want to be all alone amongst the 4 cylinders n rotors lol :zlove: :zlove:

 

i'll be coming down from wagga with a few cars. But no z's only me in mine. A wrx, a dc5 type r, a rotor, an f6.

 

that sounds good, i dont understand why there isnt much intrest from anyone else round here in sydney thou

 

because the majority of the forum are seniors and curfew time is early in the nursing homes...thats why no interest!!
