Am I the only one that lol'd a little at this phrase :)

On a serious note, this thread is currently approaching 5700 thread views - this surely shows that there are a lot of people hoping to see an outcome... or maybe they are here for the spectacle?

As for the usual suspects driving off topic shennanigans, maybe the masses should vote with the RBP button

Can't we all just 'get along' :zlove:

I rest my case ,,, simply, you again confirm my every point.

meanwhile, back to topic .... without a solution, Scott remains shafted, stranded in a battle not of his making.

Yeah we all know how well my attempt to solve things "off forum" went with you JP, I'm still minus an engine. I know you love to point blame, it seems its what you are best at doing. Blaming others for your mistakes seems to become the normal JP way of doing things.

Be very interested and HOPEFULLY the OP gets compensation for this, because trying to blame a delivery company for such a poorly packed item is totally unacceptable.

    No Mitch, those are Google-bots.

    Not a single RBP rec'd.

Nice words. Shame about the truth. Scott is getting sorted, despite the negballs with their conspiracy theories, confusing things and not helping his case.

After more discussions with JP and having to do some more running around a friend of mine put me onto a guy that's a specialist glass repairer and also does custom resto work. He gave me a good quote to fix and JP is happy to pay for it.

Such a relief and soooo happy i can now finally get it sorted and i get to keep my bar,

However such a headache shouldn't have happened in the first place.. understandable they have a business to run but cutting corners to maximise profit is a big no no,
they took a risk and got busted for it, Hindsights a wonderfull thing lets just all hope that in future UAS will either give the options for insurance on those types of items or pack them better to prevent such damage occuring.
At least JP has come to the party and all should be well over the next couple of days

    Fingers crossed

Yes Scott all good now and big lesson and costly one for UAS. Most of the freight we were charged were well over what we originally quoted and then not to pack well enough and pay for damage. Quote today is $207 and is fair and reasonable and will pay straight away. Much better than the cheapest original quote at $543.95. At no time did I avoid the issue, just wanted a viable outcome for both of us. I am sorry for your frustratiion and inconvenience. We will pack much better in future.

a costly mistake? i call that a very cheap way out at 200 bucks.

Costly mistakes ive seen in workshops are $30k motors ruined, cars crashed and 15k split rims damaged

Cost is not always measured in monetary terms, reputation, reliability and empathy are more important. Get those right and the $$$ look after themselves.

So after all the things said in this post, it appears UAS have done exactly what they said they would, pay to have the issue recitfied at a fair and just price. Good work JP and Scott for sorting it through.
