Non-Turbo Z32 owners - Exhausts Recommendations?

What's happening ladies and gents?


I currently have a terrible system for my NA Z. Previous owner of the Z
in Japan stuck a single exit exhaust on (and did a terrible job at it too).
Well - this thread is mainly for the NA owners! But any TT owners input
would be great! All opinions welcomed! here's the question :

I've checked out some videos of different sounding exhausts systems
for the NA.. Kakimoto, Magnaflow, Flowmaster 40 series, HKS, B&B etc.
videos don't do it justice but from most of the vids the most aggressive
sounding exhaust would be either Flowmaster or Stillen..maybe its just
the videos sound quality.. but I'd like to hear opinions by actual owners
of these exhausts.

What I'm after is something very aggressive sounding.. personally I like the
NA sounds compared to the TT. I've put in some links below for those

any will sound aggressive on a NA over TT as ya dont have the turbos to baffle things and stop that horrid ricer fart midrange

i have a TT but personally on an NA ya wouldn really wanna go over 2.5" as for mentioned midrange fart.. also how much you wanna spend has a big factor..my zorst owes over 2K
lol straight out the dumps.. turbo charged tractor all the way lol

sounds abit different now with the headers, i'll upload another video tomorrow. my car is pretty quiet though compared to some other NA's, the magnaflows with the twin tips sound pretty good.

 

Word. My system was kickass, before I hacked it to fit on my TT Damn EPA and their 90dB limit :bash:

thats wat im runnin.. twin magnaflow 14807 mufflers..SZ 3" expansion dumps SZ 3" test pipes into 2.5" SZ resonated X pipe all stainless :zlove:

 

Well I wouldn't mind a 2K limit or a little over. It's probably gonna be
the main upgrade on my car for the year lol (minus the little things
here and there) I just want an awesome aggressive grumble of

Wow I like this sound man.. does sound like it's got a smooth note.
And yeah can't really hear the grumble, again its a video/sound
recording thing. Still, I got a new favourite now! Next to that
open header clip above lol

Now that is a sweet sound aswell.. that's a good mean sound I love it!

I've got A'pexi supermegaphone catbacks on mine (came with the car). A very loud exhaust (esp without centre mufflers) and very demonic sounding. It's tamed down ever since I installed centre mufflers on it though... I'll take a video sometime to give you a comparison.

 

I've got TTZ Headers, magnaflow cats and muffs and UAS center resonator. All piping in between at 2.5". Sounds pretty good, can get rather loud at times too

 

2.5" pipes to 4" single hotdog then split out to 3" cannons..

anyone thats heard it knows it sounds mean as hell...

 

whats are the compoents of you exhaust.. any drone around 2000rmp??

ttz headers, metalcats, uas x-pipe/resonator/centre muffler, magnaflow mufflers all connected with 2.5" piping.
not sure how to describe the in cabin noise. it is much better than my old exhaust setup which droned badly at 2000rpm so i think it is pretty good but i have never had a stock exhaust system so can't compare to that.
there's a couple of external vids in the deca event review in post events forum.

 

That one was stupid loud, I like the Apexi Supermegaphone systems, but they need the center mufflers.

Wonder if I should keep them for the VH45

at the moment like a lumpy V8... will get it fired up and a vid in the next week or so..

hold of buying anything til you hear it.....

 

Man now I'm even more excited. I will hold off for sure, want to make
sure I get an awesome exhaust the first time and not want to change it
