NON ABS z32. Why does it have 4 outlets?

There's the three different bores (44, 50 and 57) so different pistons for each and I wouldn't count on the bias valves being the same but they do appear to be the same cast, S chassis guys often use Z MCs for big brake kits. Is there something specific you want to know for functionality or just curious?

Auto Select do after market master cylinders, and upon purchasing they ask you to specify ABS or non. Non seem to be much easier to find on the second hand market and I'm wondering if they can be adapted to an ABS car like mine.

Forgot to reply again, they'll bolt up and work fine, the bias valves are probably different but your car is so far from what Nissan specified its just as likely to make it better as it is to mess it up. Just make sure you get one with the ports in the right place.

Ha, okay. I was planning a manual bias valve. Don't really want a bent signal to start off with so it sounds like I'd be better off with the abs one.

Are you supposed to ditch the master's bias when you go for an external valve anyway?

Yup. Weren't you saying it's more likely to still have bias adjustment in it if it's a non abs master?

I probably did say that although it looks like both Zs have bias valves; I've just been looking in a couple of the FSMs and it changes a little with the years. Seems Australian models with and without ABS and Euro models in 1990 had the same split point of 35kg/sqcm (498psi) while late model American (think its a US manual) ABS cars had it dropped to 25 (356psi) but non-ABS stayed at 35.

Looks like I was giving the Z a little too much credit for being 'ahead of its time' thinking they might have ditched the proportioning valve for electronic control. You might need to look into blanking/removing the stock valve or find a master big enough that can come without.

The only bigger master I can find at all is Auto Select. Can't find any specs on it either which is shit. Bloody dear ($700+) full billet and they ask if you want ABS model or not when you order. Not sure if the difference is just a welsh plug for one of the rear outlets or more than that.

IIRC I found out somewhere that there is no inbuilt bias adjustment.
