Noisy Lifter

    Anyone got any ideas to fix a sticky lifter, whats involved in replacing...

    Try some of that lifter stop oil additive and change the oil to a 15-40 or similar.

    If that doesn't work replacing them is a big job. Plenum off, timing belt and all the front of the motor off, cams out, old lifters out and put it all back together.

    Me and Aza did it in one day, big job though.

    Yeah thats what I thought, I have just rebuilt the donk (320rwkw 17psi), I'm worried about changing the oil down, I'll try the "stop oil" and see how I go... Thanks

    Any engine rebuild that doesnt either replace or dissasemble and clean the lifters is only half done.

    yep we did clean them. they looked ok, I'm not sure why I have a problem one, I even sent the heads and all the running gear away to be fully checked. ah well.. wish I had put in new ones, looks like a couple of weekends off the road again.

    320rwkw, makes it the 8th fastest zed in teh entire southern hemisphere right Icer?

    As the guys siad its a big job to access teh lifters, could try adn additive or different weight oil.

    If it was me id just turn the radio up
