Hey guys, I was just driving my zed and I had it in 2nd and floored it. It boosted away but then all of a sudden lost all boost. Now my boost guage reads zero in any gear at any rev. Other than that the car runs fine but is just slow :(. Any ideas where to look first?

    Cheers!

so does the guage go to -7 when off throttle? If not then you've popped the hose off the sender and your loss of power is placebo.

If it does go to -7 on the guage and won't climb above 0, then likely your wastegates are shot and held open.

If it's running rough then you've likely blown of a Intercooler pipe somewhere along the line.

It goes to -7 but wont go past 0 when I push the throttle. There is a definite huge loss in power, no question about it. I have 2 GFB Mach 1 Blow Off valves that are about 2 years old, u think they might be the problem?

if there stuck in the open position they could cause a massive leak !! boost leak time

If a boost leak, you'd hear it over the engine for sure

Plenty of vacuum, but will not boost above to the plus side.

If so where to start looking???

Hmm, I cant think of anything, boost solenoids disconnected should still make around 7 psi. :\

I still havnt solved my issue. I saw another thread was started a few days before mine and the guy had the same problem. It's spreading! I couldnt find any obvious boost leaks. It may be worth noting that the day before this happened I had my a/c regassed.

Passenger turbo inlet/outlet pipes and/or vac hoses disturbed?

Did they remove any turbo piping? :mad2:

PS: I'll try to get to it this weekend if not too late.

I think quarantine is the best thing to do in these situations before the problem spreads :p

oh no. Just heard from the mechanic and apparently one of my turbos has seized. Not sure what to do now. :(

Seized turbo's usually mean a lack of lubrication.

What are the usual signs and symptoms of turbos needing rebuild or being replaced?

Ive decided to get both my stock turbos rebuilt. Should I expect a small performance increase from rebuilding a 20yo turbo?
