Never saw them anywhere around Goulburn.

Got booked twice, once for speeding, then for something else when backup was called after he took a pic of them set up in someones driveway.
Also seen a Skyline being searched just before the concourse started.
pretty much left us alone apart from numerous RBT stations set up both ends of town.
got to remember the police acadamy is in Goulburn and there is plenty of them cruising around, as long as you don't draw attention then you should be okay.

Also.. avoid the many bogan P plate commadores around here! LOL

You suggested a while back about a cruise to Canberra for lunch for people that are not into track racing?
Any more on this idea? I'd be up for it.

 

well yes.

I am going to the presentation dinner etc and concourse.. and i think we should all go to the track to watch/support anyway, i know ill be ..

HOWEVER.. perhaps maybe one of the days, about midday.. for those who are coming to watch not compete.. We could all meet at South Macdonalds goulburn and cruise to canberra .

I have not organised anything specific.. was more going to meet up with everyone when they are here, suggest it, spread the word.. then maybe lead it with some of hte canberra members.

OR if not to canberra maybe one of the days a nice "highlands" cruise (towards sydney) to mossvale and berrima etc .

 

I like the "Highlands" idea. somewhere I haven't travelled.
Wife would like to get more fridge magnets of other areas.
Sunday afternoon works after a morning at the track. Just a track spectator for me.

 

Maybe down to Kangaroo Valley, its not a bad drive. The drive to Canberra and back is pretty boring. Or you could take the back road down to Bungendore its a nice drive.

 

Suggested routes in no preference order

1. (Berrima Run 196km) via Marulan-Tallong-Wingello-Bundanoon-Sutton Forest-Moss Vale-Bowral-Berrima-Hanging Rock-Goulburn

2. (Kangaroo Valley 230km) via Marulan-Tallong-Wingello-Bundanoon-Sutton Forest-Moss Vale-Fitzroy Falls-Kanaroo Valley-Hanging Rock-Goulburn

3. (Canberra Capers 222km) via Lake Bathurst-Tarago-Bungendore-Queanbeyan-Canberra-Bywong-Collector-Goluburn

4. (Going Bush 273km) via Kingsdale-Crookwell-Narrawa-Boorowa-Bowning-Gunning- Goulburn

Any other suggestions??

 

We will be arriving on Thursday night, hoping to get some practice in at the track on Friday. If we see anything we will post it......keep an eye on Facebook.

 

Looks like the last open track day is on the wednesday before the nationals.

Checked with the track and unfortunately the private hire they have on Friday is a bikr club and they don't allow cars and bikes on the track together so no chance to get a bit of practice in before Sunday.

 

How many people are going to the presentation dinner?

In the past it was a tradition to get a little bit "dressed up" for the presentation dinner and at the NDSOC meeting this week it was decided to try and bring that tradition back. To that end could I ask that all members who are going to the dinner please dress in evening attire, go on, have a bit of fun. Guys get the suit on and ladies can wear a dress and we cann all make a night of it before continuing on back at the hotel. At the very least it will make for some great photos for the post event thread.

 

Who is heading down from Sydney on the Saturday??? Anyone...

Are there any Queensland members coming to the Nationals that live near member CARZ (Toby)??.......sorry not exactly sure where he is?.......but I can find out?........just wondered if some of you knew him personally?

He has a pair of door sills for me!
Was hoping to find someone that could bring them to the Nationals & give them to one of the 'Mexican' members?? ......maybe Pete (WYKKED) etc?

I haven't been having much luck with deliveries via couriers & the like lately! - so would much rather have these 'hand delivered' if that was an option?
