Shameless self-promotion, I know. But hey, you'd do the same too right?

Seriously though, I love the way it looks and the way it drives. Very much looking forward to the day it comes to Australia.

Also, winding roads in Japan are freaking epic.

Oh hell yeah I would! :D

Never really got on board with the look of the 350Z (road or NISMO versions), 370Z road was an improvement but this NISMO version - it looks amazing, really liking it!

And yeah the thought of driving that thing around Japan is giving me a semi.

It does look good. the lines of it are very GTR'ish.

    But, is it 80k good?

I read the Review in evo the other day. Pretty much said save your pennies up and get s Cayman, or save some pennies and get a golf R. They didn't seem that impressed.

So either buy a car that is $120k for the base model, or a car that is under 30k and not remotely similar to the car being compared?

Not that I think the Nismo version is gonna be worth what they'll be asking for it but still, that's pretty ridiculous.

Pretty much.... Both are a better drive apparently. I haven't tried the new golf R, but the previous one was brilliant. As is the Cayman. The normal 370z left me quite underwhelmed.

That was the other point they made, it's a bit of a weird price point, practicaly nothing else similar for the same money.

Price differential between this thing and a Cayman S would be gigantic. Given the base 370Z coupe is now a $56k car I would be amazed if the Nismo was more expensive than $70k, which would give it heaps more bang for your buck than a $106k Cayman. I wouldn't be using a UK car review as a fair point of comparison, Caymans are dirt cheap over there!

Golf R is a completely sterile experience. Quick, but utterly soulless. A base 370Z is a more exciting thing to drive, never mind the Nismo.

driven the golf r, that thing handles like it is on rails. absolutely ridiculous! power delivery is great and with a tune can get a lot more out of it. the golf r for its price is great and what I plan on buying (for the missus as I just bought another new car, cant justify to her having 2 new cars). just love it and the transmission and everything in that car.
