    ZX2NV Z Racing Evolution

    Hi all

After much anticipation, input and sorting out the long awaited locally produced Z32 twin turbo upgrade bolt on kits are done...................

Well nearly. The final kit is being put together and will hopefully be ready for my inspection and scrutiny this coming friday. The first kit off the rank will be the GT2860RS kit in 320, 350 and 400 hp kits.

These kits will be 100% full bolt on kits with all hoses flanges etc ready to go straight onto a zed.

I am hearing you how much you say. Well the introductory GB launch will be confirmed later this week after I view the finished goods. At the moment the kits will cost -

    320hp full kit - $3550
    350hp full kit - $3750
    400hp full kit - $3950

2.5 inch dumps and engine pipes $795 the set

All these are prelim prices to be confirmed and based on a GB of 5 participants. I am already getting a set out of necessity now for my build so only need four more to make it a goer. Kits and turbos will be in stock at GCG so its just a matter of me checking out the goods and the dumps and if I am happy with them its all go if not back to the drawing board.

There will be other kits available but this is the prelim teaser thread to help test the water with this exciting new range of local products.

    What do you think?

    cheers

    AndyMac Better than you

What are those HP ratings? Are we talking turbo ratings? And are we talking each turbo? Just might want to clarify there Jason. Cause 350rwhp is achievable on stock turbo's, even 400 I'd say.

The HP ratings are for one turbo, so x by 2

So the 320, 350 and 400 are all GT675RS Turbos?

How come they have different hp rating if they are all the same turbo?

Also what are the specs of each kit, AR etc...

Can we get 3" Dumps, without engine pipes? How much just for the dumps?

    Thanks Jase ;)

Yeah BHP 400hp per turbo and would need high lift cams major headwork yadda yadda yadda and more like bye bye 30k unless you run Nitrous

Sorry Andy ratings are per turbo so x 2 for the zeds uotput potential with supporting mods

Not sure Ali have to check with GCG will do so in the morning and update. This is a bit of a teaser thread sort of like the calm before the storm all details will be confirmed for the GB and initial introductory release.

3 inch dumps are in the works and only really needed for over 400 rwkw IMO

    Update

I spoke with GCG today and the kits themselves are all machined and ready to go they are waiting on the turbos to come in for final fitment etc.

    We have

    GT2560R aka GT28R 300hp (conservative) rated with .64 rear housing - $3550
    GT2860RS aka GT28RS 330hp rated with .64 rear housing - $3750
    GT2860RS aka GT28RS 350hp rated with .86 rear housing - $3750
    GT2871RS 400hp rated with .86 rear housing only - $3950

I hope to drop by GCG at the end of the week and take some happy snaps and launch this GB officially early next week so empty out the piggy banks kiddies and get in quick.

Would be nice and can do pics of the actual turbos and ancillary kits and 2.5 inch dumps but as far as manifolds chips and injectors goes there is too many variables and all those parts need to be carefully selected by the builder or owner for optimum performance, plus the kits would cost a motsa and no one would buy them, bets to leave supporting mods stuff separate I think and let people pick and choose.

    Sounds alright

Jayson! Just one question, is the GT2560R - 466541- 4 the same one offered in the G/B?.Turbine wheel is cast from "Inconel" material for extreme applications, on that turbo, is the one offered the same? or do any off the others have the inconel wheel.

  10. ZX2NV

    ZX2NV Z Racing Evolution

The ones offered are the 466541-1 but can be subtituted with the 466541-4 that have these features.
    Ball bearing
    * Oil & Water-cooled bearing system
    * OEM turbocharger on Nissan SR20DET engine
    * Upgrade turbocharger for 471171-3 ; outline interchangeable except compressor inlet
    * T25 turbine inlet flange
    * Same as 466541-1 except turbine housing and turbine wheel material
    * Turbine housing is cast from high-nickel "Ni-Resist" material for extreme applications
    * Turbine wheel is cast from "Inconel" material for extreme applications
    * Great size for applications w/ packaging constraints
    * Ideal for smaller displacement engines making up to 330 hp

There is no additional cost however sourcing the turbos will take longer than say the standard 466541 -1 GT2560R turbos.

    So yes do able

Actuators for these turbos are all modded and setup to clear everything in the Zed's engine bay? If they are, what PSI are they rated and would it be possible to get 1 actuator seperate from the kit? (I already have GT2860R turbos on my desk, but I know 1 actuator needs to be different from the other to clear).

  12. ZX2NV

    ZX2NV Z Racing Evolution

The turbos come with smaller actuators to suit the zed as stated its a full bolt on kit and will be verified by me as being so and will be available in different PSI ratings to suit boost, use and turbos chosen. There has been talk of just doing the adaptor kit for people that participated in the Tektrader GB a while back but will most likely be for only those guys. Will check with JP and see what he wants to do. As you can appreciate there has been a fair amount of setup cost and time costs etc to get this off the ground for local buyers and be very competitive regarding pricing etc.

So will ask the question and post an answer as soon as its confirmed either way.

which one is better suited for auto tt

Which out of these 2 would have more low down for the auto?
    GT2560R aka GT28R 300hp (conservative) rated with .64 rear housing - $3550
    GT2860RS aka GT28RS 330hp rated with .64 rear housing - $3750

How many psi can the motor take before needing forged pistons etc?

Looking to keep my car fairly streetable,

    Regards,
    Trev

    Few Questions

What will the shipping costs be?
What exactly is in the kit?
Any pictures? (we all love pictures and showing off what we are buying )
And what are the ongoing prices likely to be?

I ask with the pricing mainly because ive only just begun getting my build underway and turbo's will be the last thing I buy due to $$ constraints. So it'd be good to know what im up for.

    Hi Jason,

Out of curiousity, where do you obtain the hp readings? For example, you listed the GT2860RS with 0.64A/R turbine housing as a 330hp turbo

However Z1 say it is capable of 350hp, here are some quotes:
I also went to the Garret site, and they didn't say anywhere that when you go from the 0.86A/R turbine housing to the 0.64A/R turbine housing that you drop the rating by almost 10%

    Just curious

But nice work on getting this package available for our forum members :)

Oh no! Did someone just say ICONEL

     Not again!
Will an UnderDrive pulley damage my car?
    FMIC or SMIC
    Auto or 5 Spd
Single or two piece drive shaft
Can I put BOVs on my NA
Can I remove the AFM mesh
Will Iconel last over time :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:
    Cheers

The kit comes with bolt on compressor intake flange adaptors to marry up to stock intake piping, Custom comp cover outlet pipes to marry up to factory pipes using silicone hose, water and oil lines to suit the zed and custom oil drain lines to return to the sump, gaskets and custom wastegate actuators fitted to turbos and bench tested ready to go. Turbos are already clocked and ready to bolt on literally.

No pics yet as this was a project update thread initially which was forced into the GB section by the mods. The pricing has been confirmed however I havent seen the final kit yet hence no pics and need to sign off on it before we proceed 100% with it. So not a GB yet as such but testing the water as a lot of people were interested in this products development during a recent thread topic.

On going prices will most likely be around 15% more than this introductory offer.

Will have to confirm freight costs once the GB details are finalised.

    Cheers

Geoff you stirring the honey pot again

Where is your order anyways Mr director of Sydney Observatory and all you need these for your bird nest build engine Geoff:biggrin:

Yes i did! its not what i want though, Balsa wood was my first preference. Really I don?t think anyone should ask questions about these turbos, and just except that the seller knows what?s best for everyone here, and hand over the cash when your told. :D
