I can relate to that. I was a "P" plater with a fully bombed XU1, It done 12.8 back in the 70's. I'm glad it was yellow as it matched the stickers I always got for one thing or another. How I didn't kill myself is beyond me.
I found if your real polite and grovel in a humble sort of way their easier on you.
Might be different now.
Either way they are more likely to be jealous of your wheels.

The pixel pic on the right of your sig needs more camber. Those wheels are nowhere near dead straight like they are in the picture.

haha all good rob !

umm, a good fender pull will allow me to reduce alot of the camber (running about -6ish). the guards are rolled and the quarter panel/rear bar join has been cut and rebolted.

only thing doing the pull is it can and most likely mess the paint and most of the time looks weird. so im going to only do a slight fender pull and run around -3/-4 camber. also putting more stretch into the tyres to get under the guard.
a 235/35, 255/35 tyre set up.

+ your right, but again these are just weekend/muck around wheels.
my track ones will have a much proper set up !
